I shall not talk more about the Yu Sheng & Teochew Cuisine since it was already covered in my previous post. They actually have quite an attractive Dim Sum Buffet Hi Tea:

Daily Hi-Tea Buffet

Mon – Fri from 3pm to 5pm

Adults $19.80++ , Child $13.80++

Weekends, Public Holidays

Adults $22.80++ , Child $16.80++

(Child: 6 yrs to 12 yrs old)

But pity, we went there at lunch time so have to pay per dim sum and we have to be really fast to catch the dim sum carts! I was really looking forward to try their Yam Paste Tart but it wasn’t avaliable. Shucks

Nevertheless, we managed to hijack these dim sum delights as the carts cruise by.

The Cheong Fun (Rice Noodle Rolls) were rather average. Not smooth to bite & dark sweet sauce below it was diluted & tasted mild. Perhaps true to tradition, they do not offer ingredients stuffed cheong fun versions.

I honestly have no idea what these 2 beautifully crafted dim sum dumplings are called. Looks wonderful but did not give us the wow factor. The skin may be a little to too thick, sticky and breaks easily.

鲜虾腐皮卷 Fried Beancurd Skin Roll with Shrimp was good. Shrimp was fresh and the skin was really crispy.

This unknown dim sum below was a real delight. The skin is soft, textured and house a smooth & delicious shrimp mix (if I am not mistaken) in it. Must try!!

金碧流沙包 Custard and Egg Yolk Buns are top on my list when it comes to dim sum. The delicious combination of custard and egg yolk is heavenly. The buns here however fail to impress. Just as how my colleague put it - she has tasted better buns.

飘香千丝虾筒 Crispy Durian and Shrimp Roll to me, a durian lover is really awesome but my colleagues dun seem to think so. It’s personal preference. Anyway we suspect that the service staff uses the same scissors to cut both the durian and non-durian dim sum hence giving some dim sum a faint fragance of durian too.

All in all, not the best dim sum place I have visited. Better just stick to its Teochew Delicacies.
