This is my first time visiting Porn's and perhaps my last time visiting this place. Recently there has been a surge in Thai restaurants opening in Singapore and frankly speaking, this is nowhere near to the authentic Thai food since it is not only overpriced, the portion of the food is very small and the taste is definitely not as nice as what you get in Thailand. The signature Cha Yen is a must try but at a whopping price of $3.90 for this small glass, I would recommend one to head elsewhere, perhaps to golden mile for a cheaper version of Cha yen.

The Green Curry was not bad, with the right level of spiciness. However the portion of the baby eggplants and chicken chunks were barely enough to share among the 7 of us and I really hope that more basil leaves have been added in to give the nice flavour. Personally I would want to taste more of the green lemon too.

The kangkong was ok and for the basil leaves with mince chicken, I wish that the portion can be bigger as well and personally I find it a tad too oily for my liking.

This plate of mango sticky rice cost $8.90! and it is not even arranged in the thai traditional way of which the mangos are placed on top and around the sticky rice before the coconut milk is added. Evidently, the amount of mangos given were too few to have that kind of presentation.

This is the pineapple fried rice which I feel is too little, even for one person and it cost $10.90.

We ordered the thai fishcake and the prawncake which were highly recommended. The prawncake was really too salty for our likely whereas the thai fishcake had a strange aftertaste.

We ordered the seafood coconut milk soup( $12.90) and it was not to most of our liking at all. Many of my friends complained that it was too sour ( we scooped up a lot of lemongrass) and the addition of the coconut milk was a weird combination. Actually I had drank that in Cambodia before and I remembered that it was tasty and refreshing. The number of shrimps and fish and squid scooped up were so few that we could count within our ten fingers.

As it was a weekday afternoon, the number of customers were not a lot and the food was served quickly. For the 7 of us, we had to fork out $14 each and it was not very satisfying since the portion was too little. I will most probably head to Purvis Street (First Thai) or Golden Mile complex next time when I have any cravings for 'real' Thai food.
