I tried their happy hour; 2 sundaes at $10.80 (before GST) for students. I did not really know what to order as I had never tried Swensens ice cream before. My friend told me that i am able change the flavour of ice cream according to my preference, however, i did not do so as I thought that chef's recommendation will be the best combination! But i was wrong.
When the ice cream arrived on my table, i was quite excited because they added dry ice on a plate to make a very nice effect. This is my first time seeing ice cream served with dry ice, quite amazed and make me feel more eager to try their ice cream. But the taste was disappointing.
First, The waffles they added on the my ice cream was of bad quality, i could not differentiate is it vanilla or chocolate waffle too.
Secondly, the Marshmallow sauce they referred to on the menu was actually whipped cream.
Third, the aftertaste of the caramel was weird.
Fourth, despite all three flavours being my favorite but the combination was far below my expectation.
Lastly, it took a long time before i was served by the waitress.
The only thing i like is the quiet environment in the restaurant!
