Great food is popping up all over far east, and this is perhaps the best of them all.

The sushi bar sells mostly sushi, sashimi, rolls and some snacks.

We ordered the salmon aburi roll, which you HAVE to try. Raw salmon, along with some cucumber and mayonnaise, is rolled in sushi rice and seaweed, then topped with more salmon and mayonnaise, which is then torched. Each bite is a perfect flavour combination. The restaurant has clearly mastered the perfect mix of cold salmon to cooked salmon to crunchy cucumber to smooth mayo. Even though it isn't exactly cheap, the roll is worth every cent.

We also ordered the swordfish (mekajiki) sashimi. The sashimi is undoubtedly quite fresh, and prices are reasonable.

I would say that this is probably the best Japanese food you'll get for the price. Unfortunately, perhaps because of our bad luck, it was a good 20 minutes before we were served (we came just as the restaurant opened). Will be returning, in hope of better service, and to try more dishes.
