Orchard Yong Tau Fu, or Cuppage Yong Tau Foo as it's more commonly known, is a hidden gem hole-in-the-wall in the aged Cuppage Plaza, a cramped and tiny shop space with limited seating. It's a full-house most parts of the day, but turnover is fast so you won't have to wait very long for seats to be freed up. Be sure to go by mid-afternoon though, because they start running out of stuff, and sell out by late-afternoon, even if the opening hours stipulate a 6.30pm closing time.
Orchard Yong Tau Fu is popular for several reasons; the ingredients are mind-mindbogglingly varied and sparkling fresh, and the clear broth is rich in depth but not cloyingly so, nor does it reek of MSG. Exactly what makes for a superb and comforting bowl of yong tau foo.

Pass by this famous yong tau fu stall at Orchard and since not too crowded today, and have my lunch here. It was extremely expensive for the price of $7.50 for only about 7 items choose with rice noodles. The rice noodles was soggy and the chilli sauce was not really that fragrant and tasty. The yong tau foo items were fresh but nothing really excite me. Service was alright but can be more friendly. Dining area are very squeezy and uncomfortable.

If you feel like having yong tau fu at orchard area, this stall likely is no stranger to you. Hiding at one corner of this cuppage plaza, is always lots of people queuing for it the staffs are fruendly but the shop is very squeezy and not comfortable. I bought kway teow with seven items at $5.60.... consider quite expensive. Items are fresh and I like the bitter gourd as very crunchy and fosh paste is smooth and tasty. Chilli sauce is fragrant as well. Not too bad!

yong tau fu, for me the soup and sauces are very important. This stall have all the best i want in a hot bowl bee hoon yong tau fu soup. The first sip i took, wow! It is simply refreshing and heavenly. It makes me think of my mum's homemade yong tau fu. It is really excellent. It is just a simply bowl of yong tau fu, but it makes me want to have another bowl. It is worth the queue. The area is a liitle small, so you have to avoid the lunch queue or you can takeway, but of course you must try to eat in the stall with the hot pipping soup. They also have their own homemade barley. It is simply good! What else can i say. Just go and taste for yourself, i bet you will go back for more. Price wise is reasonable with minimum 7 items excluding the noodles. A bowl can cost around $5. A definite must EAT!

There are alot of variety in the ingredients and all are very fresh.
The shop uncle is very friendly and he will call everyone friend friend which make our dinning experience more cozy. There are limited seats in the shop as it is quite small. However, the uncle will try to arrange and find seats for everyone. In the mean time of waiting, we could choose our food first and order.
You need to order a minimum of 7 pieces.
By the way, they just increase their prices and it became pricey now.

I ordered the dry one, as i like their sweet sauce with sesame. Their soup is nice too with the beans.
If you need extra sauce/chilli/soup, you could ask for more. The shop uncle is very friendly and smiley. Love their service.

That was easily the best yong tau foo I've had so far. One obvious difference was the quality and selection of ingredients available, including a wide range of greens as well as eggplant in both fresh and fried versions. I ordered a soup based YTFs with rice. It is very filling. I love it. I heard they have been established since 30 years ago.

One of my favorite Yong Tau Foo stall is this one inside Cuppage Plaza. The stall is small and can only sit about less than 20 people. However, it is always packed during lunch time. Sometimes you need to queue for even up to 30mins. Their sweet sauce is different from other normal Yong Tau Foo stall and it is what makes it outstanding. The price is also more expensive than others.
