Over these years, the standard of food have not changed, but they have made some adjustments to their flavours. One example is the kimchi which used to be very very spicy, but in the recent few years we noticed that it was less spicy, they probably adjusted the spiciness to cater to local tastes. The complimentary side dishes at Togi are my favourite, very home-styled and to my taste, if I could, I can actually just order a bowl of rice and eat it with the side dishes, for they are enough to make me satisfied and happy! My favourites in particular are the potato salad and the anchovies which I usually have a second helping!

On a recent visit, we ordered the bbq pork belly and thoroughly enjoyed the super yummy and well marinated pork belly. The staff was there to bbq and cut the meat for us, very good service and well grilled too. Love the pork belly so much, whether eating on its own with our white rice or eating it wrapped in lettuce!

We also ordered the potato pancake which is fragrant and crispy, our all time favourite!

The Kimchi jigae was fantastic as well, rich and cooked to the right taste, there are lots of ingredients inside the kimchi soup, including mushroom, meat, cabbage etc.

Together with the six types of complimentary and refillable side dishes, and our bbq, potato pancake and kimchi soup, we had a very full and satisfying lunch!

When it come to Korean food, it is Little Devil's ('LD') area of expertise. To be honest, if you ask me what cuisine do I want to eat, Korean is the last thing that come to my mind. Not to say that I don't enjoy Korean food. I like Korean BBQ and their beef soup. Other than that. I find the options are quite limited for me as I am not very keen on spicy food.

As it is only two of us, we decided to order simple dishes. LD's have Mul Naeng Myen (Cold Noodle with beef – $14.50) and Nan Ji Bok Um (Spicy Stir Fried Octopus – $25) as her octopus cravings got the better of her. For me, I had Dukbaegi Bulgogi (Beef Stew with mushroom and glass noodle - $15).

LD's cold noodle is very refreshing. The noodle is very springy (qq) and chewy. The cold clear beef soup with a dash of sourness from the vinegar is really appetizing. If you have this dish in the summer, it provide the cold comfort relieve from the hot weather. The sliced beef brisket is cooked to tender.

For the octopus, it is actually not that a mind blowing spiciness that you find in this dish. But more like a subtle combination of different spicy flavour. There are lots of ingredients in the dish such as green chilli, red chilli, onion, octopus and rice cakes to name a few. The octopus is actually very chewy and resilient to my liking, but as long as you avoid the chilli seed, you will be fine.

The beef stew tasted quite sweet because they use the same bulgogi marinate in the beef. The soup is quite robust with a slightly cloudy texture as the beef essence came out from the meat. The beef portion is very generous, and I suggest to have a bowl of rice to balance out the sweetness in this dish.

The restaurant is simply decorated and very bright. Space can be a luxury in this place and ventilation is not good. Expect to come out smells like the food you are eating, especially if you are having bbq meat. Service is friendly and efficient. Although the owner is Korean, none of the other service staff is Korean.

The restaurant is packed most of the time and during our meal we saw people queuing outside the restaurant waiting for their turn to savour the food here. The price is very reasonable. Overall, if you are really into Korean food, you must give this place a try. Hwanho and Gamsahabnida!!! Cheers and Thank you !!!

We ate at TOGI at the second level of their branch. The food is good, especially the side dishes. We devoured the side dishes, repeatedly asking for refills. the glass noodles were really nice, almost like those you can find in korea. The kimchi pancake was a little weird though although the taste is still acceptable. the tofu soup was nice, but a little diluted (if compared to those in korea) the sweet and sour pork was nice, but abit too big and we struggled to finish it!

As Togi is said to be authentic, we decided to order some dishes to see if it really live up to it's name. We order a few items, from BBQ meat to Kimchi Soup and Kimchi Pancake. Among all, I like the kimchi pancake the best. It is spicy in a way that it does not burn your mouth, but still you can taste the spiciness in it. The pancake is crunchy too, with generous amount of kimchi being cook together. It is a bit salty though, but still acceptable for me. Other than that, the BBQ Meat tasted good too, just that it could be better (In my opinion).

Value wise, well I suppose it is typical Singapore restaurant prices at $12-$15 for a mains, and $35+/- for a BBQ set. It's not eye-widening cheap / amazing value, but a fairly friendly price for a decent Korean meal

One thing i don't like about my experience of dining at togi is that when me and my friends were too full to continue eating and was just resting for a while and the service staff would come by not once but twice to ask us if we are done eating. It was sort of a hint to get us to leave if we are done eating. I know the restaurant is rather small but there isn't a queue outside also. So i don't see why we have to hint us to leave the place.

It's open by a korean. Hence, they serve traditional korean food. I love korean appetizers. Wide range of choice, all preserved, so they are sour and refreshing. Sides here are free to refill, so i can take as much as i like. Barbequed some beef slices and onion and GARLIC! The food serving is just nice for a pax as i do not like to take rice. I will wrap the meats with garlic in the cabbage. Highly recommended dishes. The restaurant is too small so you need to go there early.

STONE BEEF RICE ~ TASTE GOOD

The seafood pot only have half a crab, 6 small prawns(not fresh)and a few squids, rice cakes, tofu and ramen/glass noodles which doesn't worth the price of paying $35
(small3-4 pax). For drinks, we only take ice tea by bottle cost only $1, can pour about 6 small glasses. Can try out their WHITE drink served from a golden kettle, seem popular among the crowd. The meal total $85 and the best of all is their free flow of side dishes tastes yammy and can't stop having a few rounds of refill.
