FoodThe fried fritters (You Tiao) is quite long in length and easily tears apart. Papers were placed and wrap over it to absorb the excess oil from the fritter. Crispy and fried to a golden perfection, this "you tiao" makes a perfect pair with the soya bean drink as my breakfast. AmbienceXi De Li is specialised in serving fried fritters and as you walk into the Market and food centre, the whole place is full of the fried fritter's aroma. PricePrice is relatively economical.Recommendation / TipsBuy some soya milk from the food centre and dip the you tiao with it. continue reading

The you tiao here not only is much longer and thicker in version, the tast of it is also much fragrant from what you bought elsewhere. The texture is very fluffy and you can really feel the different layers in it when you munch it. It is sort of a bit oily but the good taste of it can definitely cover this minor short coming of this yummy finger licking food. Dip in some soya bean milk will have another great experience in enjoying this goodie too. continue reading

This is some good you tiao at this place man. Regretted not getting any coffee to go along with this baby, but it tastes as good by itself. The you tiao is really crispy to bite on even after 30 minutes; I purposely asked for a darker coloured one as I had a craving for something crispy. continue reading

I always find that the fried fritter given in the porridge is not enough. So most of the time, if I was to order any porridge, I will ordered addtional fried fritter to go with it. This is one of the stall that I always visit if I go clementi. The aunties are really friendly and they still can recognize my hubby even though he has not been there for a long time. The crispyness still remains after I dipped it in my porridge, which is the reason that I like their fried fritters. It brings back memories of my school days with every bite. How I wish I can turn the clock back and be a school girl again... continue reading

This stall sells all the fried dough items, which I am not sure what they are actually called. The good thing about this stall is that the food are not very oily, and the food are soft and nicely fluffed up. You can see them frying it there and the items are replenished quite quickly. The more popular item would probably be the you tiao. It costs 70 cents each, or 3 for $2. continue reading
