Beancurd City (已結業)

It was a humid day and I was craving for cold beancurd. So I checked in to Foursquare to see if there's any nearby. To my delight, spotted Beancurd City and so went down to satisfy my craving. Just by the roadside, it's easy to spot this shop with this big banner.The place is non air-conditioned and rather stuffy. Seats are like hawker style. It wasn't too crowded when I visit probably cause most just leave after finishing the food. Ordered fried dough stick and a piece of carrot cake to go with

One of the better soft and silky texture of dou hua I have ever tasted, the shop is located near to the flea market sungei road. Despite it’s small shop area and several empty tables vacant, the dou hua does it’s owner justice. Most people here come for their dou hua, or at least their soya bean drink.

The soya bean milk is very smooth and milky to drink. Price wise, it is not cheap but standard. They had just got their portuguese egg tarts when I was there, an entire box of it. It looks so small but smells so good, will try it the next time round, scared heaty arh.

This is the best dao huei ( beancurd tofu ) I have had all over Singapore. Smooth and silky texture in every bite. The only downside is it's environment. The seats within the stall are rather warm, there isn't much ventilation though there are fans. The seats outside make you feel somewhat like a wanderer passing by, taking a rest as the tables and seats are placed next to the next door store and a foot's length away from the vehicle lane.Still! The best dao huei out there!
