Ah Mei Café (已結業)

First time trying the kaya toast here and was definitely pleasantly surprised. The bread was crisp and crunchy being toasted To perfecting. it had a nice toasty aroma which penetrates with every bite! Spread generously with a heaping spoonful of kaya that was of just the right sweetness, and multiple dollops of butter which added a silky creaminess, each bite if kaya toast was a joy to savour! On top of that, each set of two toasts only costs a mere $1.60!

so i decided to make this a meal today. with four slices of murtabak.it was thin.if it were up to me, i'd have large juicy chunks of chicken. but then it wouldn't be murtabak would it.pieces of curried chicken with onions.sandwiched between two pieces of oily dough.and fried on the oily grill.yes i did the oily part on purpose. i'm telling you it's good but it's indulgent. so at your own risk and in moderation please!

Murtabak at Ah Mei Café was good! And substantial. We made an order for a chicken briyani and a murtabak. And guess what. The lady at the counter discouraged us from that. She insisted that we couldn’t finish it. And of course we had to insist before we got our orders down pat. When we wanted to order an ice chocolate, she also told us otherwise. And in the end, we ordered teh si- tea with evaporated milk. Which we enjoyed very much. Haha. Dining there with her made life interesting.

It's always full!Of course, given the number of tables in this cafe, that's a given.But ALL THE TIME?!For a good reason of course.The briyani rice is cooked with long basmati rice grains and it has a lovely mix of yellow orange.brightens up your day immediately!and i could be exaggerating.The chicken drumstick is generous and tender. with meat falling off the bone.i always ask for curry refills.and wish they could have deeper serving plates. haha.

headed to amk , with family for a shop , walk pass a small open stall kinda attracted to this stall , cause everytime we walk pass this stall many people queuing and sitting down eating prata . as we are hungry didn't eat lunch therefore we waited and found a place to seat . omg having hard time finding a seats there . anyway ! ordered 6 blank prata , 1 mutton curry and 3 normal curry . anyway the unhappy thing is the mutton curry , we ordered damn exp $6 and only few pieces of curry only n

Ordered a cup of coffee from Ah Mei Cafe which costs $1.50!I felt that the taste is average, which is not very thick or thin. But i know that there's alot of working adults that will go down and drink & chat at the same time because of the condusive environment around. And the size of the cup is rather small, which i think is not really worth it. but you can give it a try.

This is their signature dish which is the chicken nasi bryani! Alot of people who eat their food actually goes for this as it is fulling and sold at affordable price to many! It could be eaten for lunch/ dinner! (:The overall is very nice with the chicken is cripsy but the curry to mixture with the rice is not enough and i went to get another plate. And they do not have chilli to mix with it.

Ordered the Teh-o with milk which is called Teh-C which costs only $1+It matches very well with bread or even rice and meat. I liked the way they brewed and pour the teh because it seems professional. Not only that, it taste professionally nice because of the light fragance of the tea smell and when you drink it, it is very soothing and very enjoying to the warm cup of teh in your hands!

Love the prata from Ah Mei Cafe. However, this place is really small that you will have to wait for quite some time until you can have your meal, so do try to avoid eating here during peak hour or when you are extremely hungry!. Well, although this prata just looked like those ordinary prata, but trust me, it actually tasted much more better than the others. Well, the curry served is not too hot as well. I like Indian's Nasi bryiyani.Because the amount is big.No la.just joking.It is because the fragrance of the rice.They use some herbe to cook the rice.So it is very nice.Although it looks yellowish,i still love it.The combination of the rice, fried chicken rice, biscuit and some chilli sauce is really great.It brings out the unique taste of Indian food.I really like it.

Went there with my cousin to have lunch. She order the chicken bryani while i ordered the toast set that includes 2 slices of kaya toast and a cup of ice milk tea. It’s always crowded and i guess that does imply the quality. And yup, taste is satisfactory but they could have done more to the waiting time and add more seats as well.

This is a new product chwee kueh from Ah Mei cafe.If you like Ah Mei cafe, you can buy their member card so you can get 10% when you buy anything from them. You need to preload the money inside so they can deduct the money when you purchase from them.This chwee kueh are so so oily. It also sell in smaller portion but bigger portion will be more value for the money. Anyway i don't like it and i think they are only good in their toast?

My mum and I decided to have lunch at Ah Mei's Cafe. The last time I was there, I had the Chicken Briyani. For a change, I ordered the Mutton Briyani. My friend was craving for the briyani at Ah Mei cafe, so we decided to make a trip to AMK Hub. The place is quite small but the food is really good.
