Came at roughly 3.30pm, ordered the medium $8.80 pork rib prawn noodle, no more kway teow, not a fan of yellow noodle, chose the beehoon. As usual no chilli no ketchup, dry (normally if you order soup, more or less they dilute the soup due to insufficient of prawn broth), headed to the toilet at the back, then ordered some ngor hiang at the same store, and while looking for a good place to seat (quite empty cause of the weird timing) my noodle was ready !A lot of seats are occupied not by people
A lot of seats are occupied not by people, but by prawn shells and bones that previous customer left behind, that leave a impression that they are quite reluctant, maybe nearing closing hours (4.30pm). Prawn was as stated jumbo, and a few chucks of pork ribs, noodle was full of fried onion bits and oil, yummy
Main point of a good prawn noodle, strong powerful prawn broth.... Total disappointment, soup was bland and have this taste of soaked yellow noodle taste, probably use the same soup to cook yellow noodle... As told by my father, small prawn normally is "sweeter" than bigger prawns, maybe thats why the soup is lacking.
Noodle was quite good from the combination of the fried onion oil and a few spoon of bland soup. I saw they also have some special looking chilli sauce, will leave that to next time.
Conclusion: If you are looking to chew on jumbo prawn and pork ribs, or some decent noodle, can head over here. But if you are looking for strong & powerful broth, this probably isn't the place you're looking for.
