Strictly Pancakes (已結業)

Headed to strictly pancakes after movie for some desserts. We ordered tiramisu pancake and it come with vanilla ice cream. The pancake is nicely served with very appetizing presentation. (sorry for the squarish photo, i upload straight to instagram) Indeed the taste didn't disappoint me. The taste of the tiramisu pancakes bleed very well together with the ice cream. 2 pancakes per dish is just nice as sometimes eating too much pancakes at one go might make someone feel "sick". Strictly pancakes has one of the better pancakes and portion is huge, so it's good to share. It's also conveniently located at dhoby ghaut along with some restaurants and cafes like Hungry Chimp. This time, I wanted a sweet pancake (they do have savory ones like garlic butter prawns, etc), so I chose the scotched bananas for $11. The bananas were caramelised, and rum was drizzled over the pancakes. Not bad a combination, but slightly too sweet.

This is the Tiramisu one! I like how they preent it and it i very filling with 3 stacks of chocolate pancakes surrounded by one of mascarpone cheese for just about $12 ! And vanilla ice cream! The pancake are soft and chewy and all the pancakes have chocolate taste so you will not get bored eating it! Its very unique and tas just like chocolate waffle with vanilla ice cream when you eat it with the ice cream!

Strictly pancake must be quite popular as i had to queue up for at least 15 minutes before having a place. I should have made a reservation first However, good foods are worthwaiting for(: I had this strawberry pancake! Dont think that it is a small serving. Its actually very filling as I HAD 3 STACKS OF PANCAKE. But, one bad thing about it is that only the to pancake has the syrup. Strictly Pancakes are known for its pancakes, and was quite popular some time ago. I had the stack pancakes and the standard breakfast items like sausage, bacon and fried eggs. The pancakes themselves were average. They were quite fluffy, but I have tasted better pancakes before. The bacon however was good because they were fried really well but not overdone and thus crispy. Sausages tasted rather average.

Didn't make a reservation before hand and have to wait in the queue for about 20minutes as we want the air-conditioned seats instead of those outdoor.Here's all the pancakes that we've ordered. All sweet stuff though. However, on the menu, we did see salty pancakes whereby pancakes are matched with salty dishes such as Chicken. So take your pick! For me, I can't imagine salty pancakes! This is my 3rd visit to strictly pancakes. Went with two other friends this time. I have always wanted to try their sweet pancakes as I tried the savoury pancakes in the previous visits. They serve really nice pancakes! Order a medium stack and you will definitely feel satisfied full! However I feel that they should allow customers to ask for more butter and maple syrup without paying.
