Bought the Tung Lok mooncake this year and I am looking forward to try out their new flavour but I am kind of disappointed. First up the blue one which is the black sesame .... when it was swallow the picky feeling can be feel inside the throat and it was sweet for this! Then the pink one is Red Dates with Longan - bits of longan can be tasted not so bad but was sweet too! Yellow - Chrysanthemum, sounds refreshing but to my horror it tasted weird and is sweet as well!!Brown - Grains with brown

Came here using a groupon voucher, which i felt was a very good deal! after walking around the east coast park.. my friend and i went to tung lok classic to eat..we had the wasabi mayo deep friend prawns and the pork stirred fried with vinegar sauce..i love the wasabi mayo as it was not typical hot.. and it was simply tasty..as for the pork.. well it was that sour.. it was nice and not oily..good to have it with rice

Though Tung Lok Classic is supposed to be a premium restaurant (as compared to the other Tung Lok restaurants), the service is kinda disappointing. Due to a shortage of manpower, we have to wait for a long time for the food to be served. As the credit card machine is faulty, only cash is accepted. Nevertheless, the food is quite good. The chicken and 8 treasures (vegetables as shown in the 1st picture) are 2 dishes which I will strongly recommend one to try.

Of those dishes which I have eaten at this tung lok classics, the one which left me with a great impression was the salted egg cod fish. I am not a fan of fish, and deep fried cod fish was not something which I would like. Cod fish was already high in fats , so most places will either steam or grill this fish. I seldom see restaurants do it in this style and this was a hit for me. It didn't taste that oily and the salted egg goes well with the fish. It took away the 'oily" taste of the fish and

Bought a box of 4-double egg yolk white lotus seed paste mooncake for this year’s mooncake festival. Nice packaging! Very classical, does remind me of the olden days. The lotus paste is quite smooth and not too sweet. Would be better is the egg yolk is more oily. For a person who doesn’t have a special liking for egg yolk, single egg yolk would be enough. Overall, the mooncake have a special taste, possibly due to the oil they used. Worth trying, reminisce of the past!
