There are so many restaurants and food stores condensed into this place known as shokutsu in Nex, and it must be a Japanese food lover heaven. There are so many stalls and so little stomach space to try it all. Dorayaki ($1.20)! A snack made popular by doramon. I was there during the whole making process. They only started doing after the order is placed! A flame was used to cook the bottom part of the dorayaki, so that the inside will remain soft while the outside layer is cooked. They are generous with the red bean too. But where is my cute Fiesta cow logo?Yakitori, another well known japanese food. The set C ($5.90) comes with 3 sticks, the fish fillet, sausage and chicken balls. The rice was soaked in sauce and its so nice! But the deep fried fillet is cold and yucky. Do come here only for the stick meat that are grilled. 繼續閱讀

In NEX, there is a Japanese food street called Shokutsu10. There are various restaurants and bakery under RE&S such as Green Pumpkin Japanese Bakery, Green Pumpkin Japanese Bakery Cafe, Kabe No Ana Japanese Pasta, Tontei Pork Restaurant, Shimbashi Soba, Ichiban Boshi, Men-ichi Japanese Ramen, Yaki Yaki Bo Teppantaki and Kuriya Japanese Fresh Fish Market.Next to Kuriya Japanese Fresh Fish Market, lies a rather small outlet of Wadori. Wadori sells a variety of Yakitori. Yakitori is grilled chicken speared on sticks. There is also chicken skin on stick available too.Looking at the rows of sticks of meat, which look so mouth watering and juicy with the dark sauce dipping around. I order 1 stick of Tsukune (chicken balls) ($1.40) and 1 stick of Renkon Tsukune (minced chicken with lotus root) ($1.90). The aunty dips the sticks into a pot of sauce before packing them into a plastic bag for me.The meat of both sticks taste rather dry and tough. Even the sauce cannot save it. Renkon Tsukune is better out of the 2 sticks, as the lotus root provides a extra cruchiness to the texture. 繼續閱讀
