This water chestnut cake or ma ti gao is a perfect dessert to cool down after a heaty meal. From the picture you can already see the high chunks of chopped chestnuts within the cake which shows that the stall does not stinge on the ingredients. The chestnut cake is very juicy and the chopped chestnuts add a lot of crunch and bite to the cake. I love this crunchy texture than having the chestnuts minced finely. In addition, the chestnut cake is not too sweet also, so ups for that!
