Had the wanton noodle soup while my friend had the chicken chop dish. We also ordered the steamed bread to share. It was quite nice. I really love the tasty soup and the crispy wanton. The noodles were also tangy and not overcooked. Love the steamed bread too. I think they sell one of the best steamed bread and i would recommend you to try it! My friend's chicken chop was also well cooked and not too oily as well.

Looking for a place to chill out at town, Old Town White Coffee might just be an option, especially if you like sweet coffees. However, it is not to my liking. What I like for the old town is their awesome curry. It is thick and worthy. For a small bowl, u can find several chicken and potato at this pricing. As for the toasted bread, I don’t really like them, it doesn’t have the charcoal fragrances, and I think it is due to the method of toasting. However, it is a must try curry in town, if you

Went to Old Town and ordered the Hainanese Chicken RIce. Well, simple meal to me. Although the proportions served was quite large, I still think it just tasted average to me. Still couldn't as delicious as compared to those hawker center's chicken rice. The rice don't really taste like the normal chicken rice we ate. Overall, I still prefer the hawker stall's chicken rice as they are much more cheaper and much more delicious as compared to this.

We decided to grab some coffee before our movie at cineleisure. As i've tried old town in JB before, decided to check out Singapore outlet for once. Being a coffee addict, i'm someone who's very particular over coffee, even for instant coffee, i'm quite selective. I've tried old town instant coffee b4 and it nice. I ordered a cham (coffee + tea which is also known as yuan yang) Not too bad, as usual old town standard of being thick and rich. The only thing which puzzled me it that how come there

Not too bad, as usual old town standard of being thick and rich. The only thing which puzzled me it that how come there's no coffee fragrance within the shop?! Be it ya kun or a normal coffeeshop, u will be able to smell awesome coffee whenever u walk pass, but i dun encounter it at old town even when there's a coffee preparation station nearby our table! Weird...

What is the best to go with coffee? What else but bread toast?!
Kopi + roti = Happy
(that's my slogan whenever i had coffee with bread. lolz...)

Disappointing bread toast which are totally not hot and not crispy! Soggy bread toast where the butter slice didn't even melt!

No more old town for me please!!!

We ordered this kaya & butter toast. Well, by looking at the menu picture it shown. The slice of butter looked so thick and fulfilling. But when we got our toast, we were quite disappointed with the portion of butter. It was hardly seen and looked so different from the menu. Although the taste of butter is still there, but judging on the cost of the toast which is more expensive from other competitors price.

I have heard of this eatery for long as I was so eager to try their white coffee. We passed by the skate park that day and we wanted to settle our lunch there. As usual, we have no idea of what to have for our meal, Old Town caught my attention, so we gave it a go. Their prices are really reasonable at that area. We ordered wanton noodle with ice coffee and Penang laksa with white coffee. I didn’t put too much hope on the Penang laksa as so far I couldn’t find one close to real Penang laksa

As usual, we have no idea of what to have for our meal, Old Town caught my attention, so we gave it a go. Their prices are really reasonable at that area. I didn’t put too much hope on the Penang laksa as so far I couldn’t find one close to real Penang laksa here. First try the laksa soup, it was a bit thin, not too sour as well as light in taste, even though I mixed with the spoonful of shrimp sauce, it was still not up to my expectation. Noodle was fine. Wanton noodle was fine too.

Here came to coffee tasting, my cup of white coffee was rich and smooth, it was a good cup of coffee to me. I have tried a mouth of ice coffee, it was fantastic, super rich in coffee taste, though it was rich it didn’t have bitter or sour tastes, the after taste linker for long. For such price, it worth every cent! As my friend uses to have Starbuck espresso, Old Town ice coffee could be the replacement with such a price.

Final verdict, we both don’t mind to have casual meals there as their coffee are really up to standard and worth very cent we pay.

The Hainanese Chicken Rice is one of my favourite dishes on Old Town's menu. The chicken is huge and tender. Also, you can easily cut into the shreds of chicken. The chicken is fried then topped off with some kind of sweet sauce. The only downside to the dish is the egg. The egg is always over fried and has way too much oil. Overall, it has a relatively big portion and even though it is pretty expensive for a plate of chicken rice, it is worth the money!

If there is one dish to recommend from Old Town, perhaps I will choose this Nasi Lemak Special Well, how special it is? I guess the credit should go to the special sambal. The sambal, unlike some hawker centre nasi lemak, is authentic, rich and thick, fried together with ikan bilis and onion. The rice is nicely done as well which is rich in coconut fragrance. Most of the time I would only visit Old Town in Malaysia which appears to be cheaper. The same Nasi Lemak is ard RM 9 (~ $ 4) but in Old

Most of the time I would only visit Old Town in Malaysia which appears to be cheaper. The same Nasi Lemak is ard RM 9 (~ $ 4) but in Old Town Singapore, it sold at $6.80. But now, they have some promotion on when you bought a pack of any Old Town Instant White Coffee, there is coupon inside for you to get a free Nasi Lemak with any purchase. Quite worthwhile I guess since I like their coffee too. It does taste better than Nescafe but of course at a higher price sold.

We decided to chill out for some beverages after dinner and happened to chance upon Old Town White Coffee at Cineleisure. As this is our first time in Old Town White Coffee, we decided to try it. I ordered the cold honey lemon drink. It tasted average as there was not much flavouring. The drink costs $3.50 as I feel it is quite pricey.

Went to eat Old Town White Coffee in the evening after work. The toasted kaya bread is average only. Ordered the double toasted bread for $2.20. As the name suggests,it is toasted kaya bread but it is not piping hot when I ate the bread.Hence,I supposed the bread was toasted in advance and kept in a container for convenience for them. Ordinary kaya toast for the heartlanders.

What's more perfect than a Kaya & Butter Toast (Single) ($1.20) to go along with me coffee? I love the crispiness and the fragrance from the toast. The warm toast together with the tantalizing and sweet kaya (coconut jam) with some smooth creamy butter in it simply melts in my mouth. Although Ya Kun Kaya Toast are famous for this, I would say that both are as good!

Lastly, I decided to try out this Ice Fire Polo Bun ($2.50) which have a very interesting name. It looks like quite an ordinary polo bun with nothing special. However, after taking 1 bite of it, I found out for myself the meaning behind the name. The butter in the middle of the bun is warm and the crispy crust on top has a milky and buttery taste. I think to myself again, trying to understand the name better but I guess this is the best I can go to decode the “ice” and “fire” in the bun. It wasn’t that fantastic but if you’re looking for a sweet bun with a crispy texture, this is something you may look for.

Old Town is a place definitely you must visit for good o’ authentic white coffee with the taste of Nanyang.
