service was prompt and we were quickly seated. the service staff was kind enough to give us our privacy for a fair bit of chatter before tending to us again for orders. casually, we asked for the hot green tea, and did the rest of the orders via the digitised touch screen menu.

somehow, we were on the same chapter, and decided to try out some of the SOP sashimi & sushi. all that we picked were colored & red plates and had our fill.

in summary, i'd say that there's been some improvement in the quality of the rice, while the cuts of the fishes erased my past horror.

my favourite sushi at sakae sushi is the fried salmon skin. it is very crispy, topped on the soft rice, you can actually hear the crunch! i love to dip it in wasabi soya sauce. the salmon skin is not too dry till it chokes you, so i really enjoy this dish.

my friends and i could not decide what to have for dinner so we headed to sakae sushi for some sushi! we waited quite long to be served to a table. when we got there, our computer was spoilt, so we had to always wave down the busy waitresses to take our order. everything was okay until my soft shell crab sushi came. the crab was cold and no longer crispy, i wondered how long they left it in the open. it did not taste fresh as well. so disappointed! and by the way, i think the place needs some re

The colours of the plates are nice for photography and I like the idea of stacking the plates. It is a fun experience with your family and friends. I had fun eating and snappning photos as I like the presentation of the food as well.

My favourite is the chawamushi. I had 2 to 3 cups of them I remembered. It was served in a nice cup and it is always warm, never cold. Love the taste and the ingredients inside. They have a few flavours, but all of them are nice..

Will go back there again!

With so many outlets in singapore, Sakae Sushi is one place to visit to have your fix of sushis. I always liked ordering unagi sushi, tuna and spicy salmon sushis. Together with the wasabi, i will devour the sushi in one mouthful. The spicy salmon sushi is not very spicy - and note that the salmon is raw. When i first ordered it, I didn't know it is raw but i still enjoyed it a lot since i can love sashimis as well.

I strongly recommend people to try this fried tofu from Sakae. It tastes awesome much! It's crispy and hot in the inside. The sauce is sweet and yummy! I think it comes in two pieces, I must have eaten one before I realised I haven't take a photo of it. Tofu tastes good already, and now they make it taste even better. A must try in sakae. If only i know how to cook it.

I had a Sakae dinner using the capitaland vouchers since Lot One is one of them. My boyfriend and I walked in on a week night and we were glad that there wasn't any queue as we were starved. We didn't go with any buffet or main courses, instead we just ordered the colored plates and enjoyed the varieties till we were full.I extremely love the Cha Soba and Fried Tofu. These 2 are my must-have whenever I dine at Sakae. The mochi as dessert was pretty good too. Service here is a little slow, sadly.

Whenever I think of sushi, I will think of sakae sushi. I love going to their buffet be it lunch time or tea time. However the way they classify their customers seems a little different. For normal buffet places, they have this catergory for student where you flash your student pass and get a discounted price. For sakae sushi, they do not have the student catergory, but they replace it with a youth catergory where the maximum age is 21 to enjoy the discounted price. Guess they wanna be differe

Had their Black Pepper Beef and Tempura Set(S$16.99) and Teppan Assorted Mushroom(S$7.99) for dinner. The Black Pepper Beef are sliced into small thin pieces, so small that I though I was having chicken meat. Luckily, the pepper sauce makes the beef outstanding. It is spicy hence not for people who cannot take spice. The Tempura is hugh and fresh. One bite and you can taste the fresh prawns within. The Teppan Mushroom is so-so only. I think it is too wet for my liking even though the taste is nice

I was lucky. It was dinner time but I was the only one at the counter! Usually it would be so crowded. Surprisingly, it wasn’t awkward at all as I sat alone at the teppan counter. I ordered the Sakae Teppanyaki set meal which was pretty decent. At a reasonable price of $19.99 I had the beef dinner set that came with salad, seafood teppan chawanmushi, salmon, garlic rice and Miso soup. I couldn’t finish everything. The portions were generous for 1 pax.

Loved the garlic-ky rice and loved the even more garlic-ky teppan beef covered with delectable teriyaki sauce. However, the best dish was tied between the Seafood Teppan Chawanmushi and Mixed mushrooms.

The Chawanmushi was housed in the bowl-shaped onion. Very cute! Waited patiently as the egg steamed on the griddle. I simply couldn’t wait for it to be ready!! The moment my personal chef served the Chawanmushi, I immediately scooped the perfectly steamed egg out from the onion husk and crushed the tender chunks in my mouth. It was sweeter than usual because of the onion! OMG I’m such a garlic and onion lover!
