The Café Cartel (Closed)

A fine dining at 'The Cafe Cartel' with my friends and we have ordered some dishes to share together. This was the first time that I went in to dine and it was a really great experience with my friends lol . Overall, we've waited about 15-20 minutes before the food is served to our table. All of us are provided with cold water from the friendly waitress as well. The staff service was great and attend to our need patiently too.

May look like a really 'in' and 'young' place for those younger generations to have their meals and gathering. However I should say the standard of their cooking is still fair and lots of rooms for improvement. Really dislike their mushroom soup as it is quite diluted and not too creamy at all. Very few sliced mushrooms can be found in the soup as well. This soup may spolit your appetitie for the main course and dessert as well. This large plate of breakfast set has certainly satisfy both me and my husband. The scrambled egg is soft and nice. Sausage is chewy and not too hard. The hashbrown is the usual nice one which we can eat it from most of the fastfood restaurants and buy it from most of the supermarkets. Bacon has been barberque till quite crispy and juicy. This is bad.. really bad.Bad service, bad food, bad cleanliness.I ordered this chicken & pork hotplate and it took about 30minutes to arrive! Moreover, I went on a non-peak hour, about 8 to 9 at night with less than 10 customers at that point of time! When the food arrive, it came with the wrong sauce. This outlet is located inside Bishan Junction 8 and it was not crowded when we had our lunch there. Once you placed your order, you can go and take the bread and yes you slice it yourself. Cafe Cartel is never a first choice for food as their lighting always make the whole place feel very warm. The reason we want to have dinner at Cafe Cartel is because, they have the shortest queue as both my hubby and me are very hungry and rather not choosing the longest queue. Food are okie and price are reasonable. The only think i like cafe cartel is their desert.

Cafe' Cartel is where I would dine with western pork ribs made affordable. The last time I went, the Bishan outlet was still around. Now however, its been replaced by some other restaurant! So anyway, their BBQ pork ribs are chewy and the rest of the food items are very much average. My folks ordered a sandwich set and some spaghetti with chicken chop while my brothers, a seafood platter and I settled for the ribs. Pop by to have the set lunch promo. It's only available between 11.30-2.30pm. Not bad. I ordered the spaghetti set while friend no.1 got the seafood platter. We only had 2 choices as they only offer 2 variety on different days of the week. All sets comes with soup, drinks and dessert not to mention free flow of bread ( flow of bread was quite slow ).
