Went to BlackBall at Bugis+ with bf to satisfy my craving for Taiwanese desserts. But then we got a bit lost in deciding what to order. What I like about BlackBall is that here we can customize the dessert: choose the temperature (hot, warm, cold, or icy), the base and the topping(s). I have tried blackball once and i really like it alot! this time round i went back but order less toppings than before. I only order grass jelly and pearl as the topping as i was feeling budget and it still taste very good to me it feels a bit like "eating" bubble tea instead of drinking it. the grass jelly is smooth and soft. pearl is very chewy and sweet. luckily it is not those pearl which is tasteless. A very highly recommended place for dessert if you haven't been to blackball before!

As I am food lover of Taiwan all kinds of foods , so when i discovered there was a store at Bugis selling Black Ball, I immediately wanted to try it out. The store sell also drinks w/o milk. We ordered BlackBall Signature to share. Melted Grass Jelly with big pieces of chewy Yam, Sweet Potatoes, QQ Balls, Red Beans and Pearls inside while topped with milk. It was smooth texture yet not very sweet.

Blackball is always a good place for desserts if you like silky grass jelly; they also have other new drinks like red bean milkshake etc. I got a bowl of their signature grass jelly (didn't like it that they increased their price from $4.90 to $5.40) with taro and sweet potato and red beans. Add the creamer given and it tastes even better. However, it's very filling and best to share.

Taiwanese Dessert was getting more and more popular at Singapore. It was my first time to try BlackBall, available cold, icy, warm and hot. The choice for me was obvious, especially the summer weather here. First one from left, Grass Jelly with Fresh Milk was mine, $4.50. We bought the normal one, but we didn't get the crushed ice one! By accident. Anyway. We ate the normal one but its still as awesome, the grass jelly was more so its shook. I really love their taro ball, and the pearl was so soft and chewy. The sweet potato strip was nice but I was just okay with it as its a little sweet but I like the texture when I'm chewing it. It was a little regret that we didn't get the shaved ice on this hot day.

I had the blackball signature served cold, which contains ingredient such as grass jelly, pearl, yam and sweet potato. The texture of the balls was not so chewy as compared to the one I had in Taiwan and it is certainly overrated as it cost $5. Next, the shop has little seating capacity, thus it will be a better option to avoid visiting them during peak hours, and the waiting time can take up to 15 minutes or more.

I ordered the blackball promotion at $11.90 for 2 signature blackballs and 1 drink (We choose a tea with lemon in it, but i can't remember the name of it) as our supper. Well, I will not recommend you to go around 9 plus pm to order this drink as the queue is really long! The assistants themselves mixed up the customers' order too. Tried BlackBall from the first time at Bugis +. It is located at one corner and there are seats outside and in the store. I went on a saturday evening and it was packed, full house. I was craving for some cold dessert and decided to get Blackball, conveniently located at Bugis+, just next to the pick up point. I think they introduced several new drinks like red bean with milk, etc, and a couple of crushed ice desserts like yam, jiu fen crushed ice, etc. I decided to try their blackball crushed ice for $4.50. Blackball is famous for their silky grass jelly with toppings. I wasn't going to eat immediately so i opted for the cold one; would recommend getting the one with ice if you are eating on the spot. The grass jelly is very silky and smooth, reminds me of gong cha's herbal jelly topping. It comes with taro/sweet potato balls, which are chewy, and also red beans and pearls. A good refreshing dessert. Costs $4.90.

I still crave for Blackball at times cause of the sweet and refreshing taste of this dessert.
