So I ordered this drink, Wintermelon Milk Tea from this outlet because I was thirsty. The large cup was filled to brim with the muddy water and I guess I can only finish like 1/15 of it and threw the whole thing away. I heard from my partner later that the person inside who was making the drink doesn't know how to make it! This was supposed to be one of the hot selling item and yet... I'll rather just spend $1 at Bugis Village to buy the diluted watermelon juice and it will still taste as good.

Their shop in Bugis+ is small and cramped. I had a hard time finding seats on a weekend afternoon. I had their Signature ($4.90), which is my usual order but without the black pearl. As compared to my previous experience with Blackball when it was first launched in Singapore, i think that the portion of glass jelly given is significantly thinner than it was before. Food presentation wise is messy and unappealing. The only comfort is that the food is still as decent as before.

I heard of the fuss thru colleagues and yes instagram... So I too wanna know whats so great of this Blackball.

It was 8pm on a Monday and the line of people q-ing, exceeded their entrace. So either their desserts must be good or Singaporeans being Singaporean and q just because there are ppl q-ing..

Seeing the menu, i get dizzy. So unsure what is it that i should order. They offer a variety of milk teas and the ice shaven desserts.. To me its like Ice Kachang Taiwan Style. Right before i could make my order.. they announced that they are out of red bean... So I had the Signature Blackball dessert without red bean...

The serving is huge for an almost tiny person like me.. Its actually ice shaven Grass Jelly flavored, topped with YamQ, Golden Sweet Potato, Yam balls, Sweet potato balls, pearls and finally grass jelly. Thats alot of toppings!! It was a good thing that they ran out of red beans.. I couldnt finish 1/3 of it.. i was just too full plus my mouth was too tired from chewing the balls and pearls! I love how the flavors makes chemistry in my mouth..

Wouldnt mind coming back here for seconds.. but this time with someone to share!

Their blackball signature (grass jelly, taro ball, golden potato ball, red bean, pearl...) is just wonderful...Their specialty is smooth, silky grass jelly – a black, translucent jelly without much discernible taste, usually served in large cubes for dessert or thin slivers in syrup as a drink – as a bed for other toppings: starches such as taro balls, beans cooked in sugar, and various other accouterments...Makes the taro and potato balls soft and bouncy...

It consists of various flavor of glutinous "ball" (e.g. Yam, sweet potato, golden potato) and their famous grass jelly and pearls! I've to admit, their grass jelly is really nice! It's not too sweet and it doesn't have a wierd smell that the hawker stalls offer. Since the balls are made of glutinous, I've to admit, it really is quite a fulfilling supper so have a light dinner or order a bowl and share it amongst your friends!

I've also tasted their hot version of signature blackball dessert! The portion looks much smaller (though the portion is the same) and not so appetising cause all the ingredients are covered by soup! So I'll recommend the cold or shave ice version!

If u're into bubble tea, you could also try out their bubble tea series! Heard it's not bad too!

Chewy and sweet is this dish that goes extremely well with the small container of condensed or evaporated milk served at the side. This taiwanese dessert is a sweet treat and i love the red beans found inside. The different balls such as the sweet potato balls, yam balls, bubble tea balls all add a chewy consistency to the dessert. I found the dessert a little too starchy after a while but it wwas ok.

It seems like there is a sudden hype about this Blackball at Instagram, so since we just had dinner at ZebraC at level 4, we decided to pop by Blackball at level 1. It was very crowded & we manage to secure a table cos a group of 3 girls offered the bigger table to us while the take the smaller table. The queue was long & we waited 8 mins in queue just to place order & another close to 15 mins for our order to be served. Friend had Grass Jelly w/Fresh Milk $3.80 while I had Winter Melon Tea $2.8

Friend had Grass Jelly w/Fresh Milk $3.80 while I had Winter Melon Tea $2.80 - The winter melon tea reminds me of my sister's flying days when she will buy home lots of winter melon tea sweet. I love the winter melon tea!

However, the Blackball Signature which can be served Cold, Warm, Hot or Icy & it comes with YamQ, Golden Sweet Potato, Grass Jelly, Honey Yam, Pearl & Sweet Potato $4.90, was pretty disappointing. All the Yam & Sweet Potato balls, including the Pearls were too chewy & I took quite some time to finish off this bowl of dessert.

I'm not sure if I'll queue again for more than 30 mins to give the Blackball Signature another chance to prove me wrong

Really kind to my boss for buying the above yummy dessert during the Labour day. At one look, I was really attracted by the different types of colourful items in it. Especially like their yam strips, which are very smooth and not too sweet. The black saga topped in it are also very chewy and delicious too. Really like the simple and nice packaging on the container which bring out the nice colours of the dessert. A bowl of it is good enough to satisfy me and I can just have it as a meal also

Happen to grab a seat near the counter this time round. so got "1st hand" news to what people like to order. I'm surprised many people ordered their bubble tea and also the jiu fen taro ball crushed ice. Anyway i ordered the signature blackball. You get to choose the 4 preparation type, warm - cold - hot - icy with the last one being the most popular. You are also given one small milk condiment to add on if desired. One thing i notice, if you order it with shaved ice, it usually comes in the bigger bowl, a tip not to be missed

The concept here is you find your own seat then order at the counter. The collection point is just beside the cashier.

There was quite a crowd and it wasn't easy to find seats. Waiting time for the dessert was around 10-15 mins.

Out of all the choices, I loved the ice jelly the most ;D

The ice jelly had a slight lemon taste within which makes it refreshing.

The yam Q is chewy and the yam taste was just right, not too strong

The golden sweet potato is sweet and soft.

The nata d’coco was however a little disappointing. I felt it was too sweet.
It tastes similar to the coconut jelly for bubble tea. It’s not too bad though, just that it doesn’t really go well with the rest of the choices.(:

The grass jelly portion was quite a lot, which makes it a little too much to finish :x
