BreadTalk has been around Jurong Point for as long as I can remember. Two of the items which i frequently purchase at BreadTalk, no matter which outlet is the Nacho Cheese and Chicken and Floss Buns.The Nacho Cheese bun is quite a sinful creation, with 3 mini hash brows topped with Nacho cheese sauce. It was my nephew birthday, so I decided to buy a Chocolate Cake from Breadtalk. When I was at Breadtalk, what caught my eyes was this Boston Chocolate Cake with about ten macarons. I went to Jurong Point Breadtalk to buy some breads. Breadtalk is well-known with some of its signatures breads such as chicken floss. In this case, I have selected Spicy Chicken Floss and chicken floss (Non-spicy). Once you bite on spicy chicken floss, the tender and fragrant bread, and at the same, spicy is in your mouth. Whereas, it is vice versa for non-spicy chicken floss. For those consumers who take spicy, it is recommended to choose spicy chicken floss. The service is good and efficient.

These coconut buns were really soft and fluffy. The sesame seeds at the top made the buns even more fragrant and added more flavour to the entire bun. The coconut shreds inside were juicy and sweet. The combination of the soft fluffy texture and the juicy coconut made the bun a very wonderful afternoon snack!

I got for myself a bun from Breadtalk after my shopping at jurong point. I chose this sausage bread. This is no ordinary sausage bread as the sausage is slightly cheesy and it has some herbs in it. It is much more tasty than the normal sausage breads as the sausage used here is more premium. I guess this explains the higher price. This bun cost me $1.60 whereas you can probably get a normal one at around $1 at Cake History.

Xmas log cakeLove their X'mas stuff. There's cookies and buns and cakes. And it's not super expensive like at some places. Their cookies are half the price of other places. It's all very colourful and pretty. The chocolate donut has a strawberry on it and it actually made the donut very fragrant and balances the sweetness. I find that most bakeries don't go wrong with sausage breads since it is very basic and what matters more is the sausage that is used. However, I found myself really enjoying breadtalk's verson. The bread is also spiced up with some flavouring as seen on the outer part of the bread and that makes it very delicious. Moreover, the sausage used by Breadtalk is of a better grade than some other bakeries as well. Besides the floss, this is what I will usually get from Breadtalk.

I bought the fruit tart from Bread Talk. It has peach, strawberry, kiwi and blueberry on a layer of custard. Its not really a tart actually. Its more like a puff, with layers of pastry when you bite into it. I thought the addition of blueberry to the average fruit tart's fruits (ie strawberry, kiwi and peach) was sweet. Loved it and would try it again.

The bread is called smart alec..not sure why, but the unique name makes it really easy for me to remember its name. Anyway, its a pretty long bread (probably 20cm or so) with custard cream topped off with powdered icing. Its perfect for custard lovers but when the bread is soft..it makes it pretty hard to eat it neatly. Do give it a try.

Bread Talk celebrated their 11th birthday by offering special prices for their buns. Ten buns for 10 dollars. My mum bought a variety of buns and I chose the pork floss bun because the bakery is famous for this particular bun. The bun was great, it was not too dry and the mayonnaise together with the pork floss made the bun very delicious. There were quite a lot of people at the store during the promotion period with a long queue. But the queue was fast as the staff worked very quickly.

Yesterday was the last day to get your hands on breadtalk's bread at an attractive price of $1.50. Therefore, I decided to try breads which I have not tried before. One of which is this - the curry chicken bread. It smelt really very fragrant and it was with eagerness when I bite into the bread. However, the taste was rather disappointing. I had this Breadtalk muffin for afternoon tea. The texture of the muffin was great. It was fluffy and soft. It was also not too dry and was easy to digest. The flavouring was light, not too sweet and it is a great snack item to go with a cup of hot drink for afternoon tea!

Xmas season is coming, everywhere is coming out with xmas food and packaging. I came across breadtalk xmas food and decided to buy their muffins to try. The muffins came in a pack of two, chocolate and vanilla flavor. They wrapped it nicely in transparent glass sheet. Both muffins were topped with icing sugar to give it the xmas feel.
