Crystal Jade My Bread (Closed)

Had some craving for sambal sauce so decided to grab two of these cute looking buns from Crystal Jade bakery. It was surprisingly good. The sambal taste was strong and the chicken filling in the bun itself was extremely generous. The entire bun burst with sambal goodness when I chewed into the fluffy texture of the bun. Really liked it. The cute star at the top was also edible.

I love the BBQ pork bo lo buns from cystal jade as it reminds me of those bo lo buns that I had in Hong Kong. Of course the taste can't compare to those I had in hong kong, but it is good enough. The bun is sweet on the outside with the crispy exterior and it is soft on the inside, where your tastebuds will be in for a treat from the delicious and juicy char siew meat. This cup cake from this bakery shop may look really simple and unattractive, but the taste of it is definitely quite tasty and smell good as well. The butter sponge cake used in it is very soft and slightly moist in texture, which is full of the nice fragrant from the generous amount of butter used in making it. THe fresh whip cream goes really well with the sponge cake too.

These unique premium bread caught my attention while I was shopping for bread to satisfy my hunger. Was in the mood to try a 'special' flavor which was slightly different from the bread which I always eat.First, it was the color which attracts me. I love egg tarts because of the taste of the egg custards - it is somewhat like eating pudding. Therefore, it is no surprise that I got 4 of these egg tarts from Crystal Jade. As the egg tarts are just replenished by the staff, it is still warm. Therefore, I ate one there and then.
