I ordered 2 different Pumpkin buns. One is filled with pumpkin and mochi and another just with pumpkin. Both buns are shaped like pumpkin with one of them even coloured green like the Japaneses pumpkin. The bun is quite nice and the Pumpkin filling is not too sweet but the one filled with mochi is a bit bland for me. They also have red bean buns and the shop also sells Japanese style cakes.

I got this red bean bread from green pumpkin. This red bean filling is unlike those smooth red bean paste that you have in the paus and most breads. Instead, there are still some small chunks of red bead. I like the smooth red bean, so this version of red bean filling isn't which is the way I like my red bean filling to be. However, it is still tasty because of the bread which is very soft and has a very nice fragrance.

I specially went to this bakery to get breads since my friend had raved about it to me the previous day. There are so many varieties of bread and all looked so tempting. Eventually, I setted on a safer and more conventional bread - the matcha bread with azuki red bean filling. The red bean filling is rather sweet (I have a lower tolerance for sweet things), but it is still ok for most people. The bread is very soft and has a slight tinge of matcha taste. i had the matcha bread with azuki red bean filling at green pumkin for a tea break. it costs $1.20. a reasonable price for bread at such a nice setting. wat i like about this bread is that the red bean paste given is very generous. the red brean is thick and rich in flavour and alot in one little piece of bread. the bread is also very soft and nice.

I'm disappointed with Mount Blanc Cake. there's a very hard and stiff piece of dessicated coconut cake among the chestnut puree. Not up to standard.

Oh well, i would recommend openrice readers to try out the bread and coffee instead. If u guys dun mind spending over the discounted cakes, try the fruit cakes. Should be safer ba at least the strawberry cakes taste like normal sponge mixed with cream and fresh fruit! Furthermore, all cakes and bread are going at 30% off after 9pm.

The bread from this shop all looks pretty and tasty. Do not be tricked by the colour of this bread, the colour does not look very appealing but the design is indeed special and it tastes good. However, I think the Green Pumpkin bread which was indicated as the best-seller was overated. The design of the bread certainly looks exquisite and delicious but it does not really suit my taste. Perhaps I am biased as I am not really a pumpkin lover. The pumpkin filling is not totally dry and from the picture it is a little moist. This bread costs $1.60 and I think it is pretty expensive.

The cakes at Green Pumpkin are not good at all, in Japanese cake standard. We tried two cakes yesterday, Yuzu cheese cake and Mont Blanc. The first one is just plain cheese cake added with some Yuzu syrup (the ones you can buy in Korean food stores), and the taste of the cheese cake is so plain and hard. Mont Blanc is very sweet, and the chestnut cream is hard, not Japanese style at all. At $6.30 and $6.80 a piece, definitely not worth it. I would recommend cakes at Canele (or just NYDC) instead

As promised, I returned again to try some other bread from Green Pumpkin. I tried another flavor and this time; there were sunflower seeds on top of the bread. The bread is fresh and I was glad that I didn't have wait too long for my in turn in the queue. Ideal for breakfast or tea-breaks! Something light to chew on and the size makes it easy to keep in your bag packs!

While strolling around Nex one afternoon, my friends and I decided to grab something to bite. Thought of trying out some bread from this bakery as we saw quite a few aunties queuing. The bread was soft and fluffy and I loved the sweet lotus paste in it. Would go back again to try out some of their other flavors!
