Bakery serving japanese bread has always attracted me due to their pretty display of bread and cakes and at times very interesting flavours. I was very disappointed in it. The cheesecake tasted like a block of cheese with Yuzu jelly on the top. The whole taste was very weird. I was anticipating on how they include the Yuzu flavouring in the cheesecake instead of just placing a jelly on top.

Green Pumpkin is one of the dining place at Shokutsu 10. I like their simple and cosy setting. I had their Wagashi set ($6.90), that served with either ocha (green tea) or coffee. Wagashi actually refers to traditional Japanese confectionary typically made with beans, grains, potatoes, sesame seeds and sugar. There are three choices for the set, and I ordered the Siberian Castella. It's the sweet bean jelly sandwiched between two matcha castella. The cake is fluffy and I like the sweetbean jell

The cake is fluffy and I like the sweetbean jelly very much, the sweetness is well-balanced by the cakes.

Tofu mousse ($9.90) is a bit bland in taste. If you are not a tofu person, you might not like it. However, when topped with matcha ice cream and white chocolate, it tastes so much better. There are also some kuzu mochi, kmako and cookie served on the plate too. Quite a pretty presentation.

They also have some breads displayed at the counter area. We decided to try two of them, and the staff is very kind and offer to warm them up for us. Green pumpkin ($1.60) is their signature bread. Very gorgeous looking. It is stuffed with the sweet goodness of Japanese pumpkin puree, delicious. It's a must try I reckon!

Ichigo melon pan ($1.90) looks like a mushroom hey. The strawberry melon bun has some chocolate chips inside, taste wise pretty ordinary.

the buns here have interesting flavours. many colours too. supposedly japanese influenced. the yuzu bun is great! the pastry is super soft but not too light. the colour is a nice yellow gold. the filling is just right. not too sweet. it's a white bean paste filling. best eaten as soon as possible. costs about $2.50 per piece. they have green tea buns too, which are green in colour, but i find does not have enough green tea taste. very pretty layouts and designs of the shape of the buns.

I was slightly disappointed with their yuzu flavoured bread, as filling was really too sweet and I wished the yuzu flavor could have come out more.

A nice cosy spot for coffee and desserts. I ordered Sakura Anpan and Yuzu Anpan. The sakura anpan look quite appealing and special, it taste pretty good. The filling in the bread is white lotus paste but personally it a bit sweet and the taste very smooth. The bread was soft in texture. The yuzu anpan was not bad. The texture was soft and fluffy and I loved the sweet yuzu paste in it, yuzu was not very obvious but no doubt a refreshing change for bun.

Green Pumpkin Japanese Bakery is located at Nex Mall basement 1 (Shokutsu 10). If you like pumpkin, do try their signature green pumpkin bread which comes in a nice 'green cap'-like shape (attached photo). Mrupupup loves this Japanese bakery and cannot be found elsewhere in Singapore for their bread. Anyway, their green pumpkin bread is the number 1 best seller. The bakery also sells other types of bread which are very nice. Yummzz.

I will buy breads from Green Pumpkin whenever I am in NEX and yesterday, I tried the green pumpkin. The exterior of the bread is very pretty with it resembling a japanese green pumpkin. The green pumpkin bread has a very fluffy exterior and the interior lies the orangy hue pumpkin which is smooth and sweet. The ratio of bread to filling is just right, anymore or less it will end up tasting too sweet. However, the only thing which I didn't quite like is the price since it is pretty expensive for

I was shopping around Nex and saw this distinguish stall at the Japanese street of Nex, the bread looks surprise cute, bought one and try. I’ve realized that pumpkin buns from other bakeries elsewhere have added sugar into the mashed pumpkin fillings because they taste ‘artificially’ sweet. It’s good that Green Pumpkin’s pumpkin bun did not (or what I thought so) contain added sugar!

I really can’t recall what this bread is. I just grabbed it off the shelf since I am rushing for time. I ate it right on the very same day, hence the bread is very soft and has a chewy bite to it. Never knew there was such a bakery, till my parents found this store and we decided to try out this bakery. It costs about $2 for each bun, which is quite a big size. I tried the chocolate chip bun. I also a sugary custard bun that proved to be tasty and sweet as well. Will probably patronise this store again.

Nice mochi bun! It's green tea mochi bun. With a green tea toppung and a green tea mochi inside. The texture is surprising and interesting. Highly recommended. The white bun bit is abit too airy and soft - would prefer a denser texture. Pricey buns at this place. It's about $2 a small bun. Their pizza bun is really good too. The service is fast. There are pretty cakes on display but not really recommended as I didn't like their taste. Recommended for their buns.

They have new buns on the menu now and it's pretty interesting and very very good! The cakes are not so good. The strawberry cake is the Japanese style strawberry cake but it's not very tasty. Generous fruits but too much cream. Would prefer more strawberries on top. The pink buns are strawberry buns which has such a nice pink colour and tastes great. The have savoury buns as well, which are relaly really good and not overly salty. Rather pricey for everything.

Each cost about $3++. Not cheap for buns, but they are very different to the buns from other places. Supposed to be a Japanese concept, but haven't really seen such buns in Japan.

I'm addicted to the sakura bun and always get it when I am there. It's just so pretty and tastes so special!

Service is polite and efficient but not very helpful as the staff could not explain what fillings and ingredients were in some of the buns! Service is definitely trying to be Japanese in terms of efficiency and politeness.

Recommended! The trays are also not as greasy as some other places! i can't stand greasy trays.
