I was around Outram area and decided to drop by Everton Park to check out some of the cafes. I pass by Grin Affair and took away two of their jar cakes! They have a range of flavours and I got two of their bestsellers, the Lychee Passion and Dark Chocolate! Between the 2 flavours, I prefer the dark chocolate as it is richer in taste compared to the lychee passion. Cake in a jar is such a trendy thing nowadays! There're so many shops sprouting up selling these cakes in a jar. I finally got down to try Grin Affair as recommended by my friend. It is a very small and humble shop that is located at everton park. It is quite a bit of a walk from Outram MRT station. I got the Cookies & cream and banana dark chocolate flavour to try. Away from the hustle and bustle from the city, grin affair is located in a neighbourhood region which makes it a little inaccessible even from the nearest mrt station. Happen to chance upon this shop that sells Jarcake. Bought the Strawberry Custard and I'm loving it. The packaging is nice (of coz that attracted me the most) and the cake is not too bad as well. The cake is packed in a jar - one layer of vanilla cake, one layer of strawberry custard with real strawberries and another later of vanilla cake. It is heavenly. Will definitely go back to try the other different flavours too.

FoodI came across this article that was introducing Grin Affair on one of the local newspaper this friday and came to know about Grin affair . We had the dark chocolate at $5.50 per jar. On top of the jar there is one chocolate, it was the saltiest chocolate that I ever had. In between its cake and chocolate, there was thick layer of condensed milk.
