My friend and I had a Pre-Christmas celebration at LENAS @ Hougang Mall today. There was a large variety of food to select from the menu at LENAS and I had a hard time deciding what food to order as I were spoilt for choice.  Eventually, I settled down for the Western food for which was 2 pieces Lamb Chop with baked potato side dish which costs $14. I have always been a great fan of the lamb chop especially with the black peppered sauce. Today the baked potato tasted very good and it was well cooked. In addition, the food portion was just nice for a person and I feel quite full after the eating it.

 Apart from that, I also ordered an Ice Tea for $1 only as there was a promotion on Tuesday. You could also adjust the sweetness of the Ice Tea using the sugar syrup provided.

 Moreover, I ordered Banana Fritters & Oreo Cookies for dessert which costs $6.80. It was good and I managed to finish it even though I was quite full at that time. The fried bananas were very crispy and eating together with the ice cream was superb.

 The waiter and waitress were also quite friendly and very efficient to attend to the customer’s needs. Moreover, the food served was also quite fast and there was little waiting time although there were a lot of customers at that time.

 There was also promotion on every Tuesday as you can have 30% discount for your second favorite Pasta series and top up $1 for a choice of Ice Tea or Ice Ribena.

 In general, the food is not bad and especially the ice cream dessert tastes great. Given the wide range of food available in the menu and reasonable pricing, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Was at Hougang Mall shopping for some winter wear and before we continue our shopping, we decided to settle down for a quick dinner. we had a seafood ring served with mayonnaise. It's actually deep fried breaded calamari. Golden brown rings where the it's crispy yet oily, texture of the squid inside is not chewy and not toughg. I like it!  Chicken Pesto Pizza!
I would say Thumb's up for the pizza here. It's my 1st time eating their pizza and I'm truly impressed. Generous toppings on the super crispy thin crust. My fren is a member and we get to upgrade our pizza to large size for free. However, in order to avoid food wastage as we worry we can't finish, we decided to stay put.

Our dining experience~ Great!

Oh man, we were done with our main meals and down to dessert, before I remembered about taking pictures of my food!! This place is newly opened, so my friends and I decided to give it a try, seeing that they have a week day set lunch promotion. If you order a main dish (from $9.90), you'll get a free side salad and a cup of iced lemon tea.

I tried the grilled rack of lamb (3 pieces with one side dish for $18) which is supposedly a recommended dish on the menu. The waitress asked us how we wanted the lamb done. I'm more used to having that question asked for beef, even though I know that it's possible for lamb to be cooked medium rare etc. Therefore, I chose my lamb to be cooked well. Perhaps that's why our rack of lamb ended up being rather tough? The pieces given were rather small pieces too. Felt it was a waste of our money ordering this dish. We chose baked potato for our side - it was quite big and only had a dollop of sour cream added to it. Nothing special. The side salad was quite a big bowl with fresh greens, cherry tomatoes and thousand island sauce on the side.

My hubby had the grilled chicken with aglio olio ($8.90 on weekdays). It was not bad, for they were very generous with the amounts of chopped garlic and also added shaved garlic slices too. They were liberal with the use of olive oil and chilli flakes as well. It was just a tad oily and a bit on the salty side, but the sphaghetti were cooked to a nice al dente consistency. The grilled chicken pieces given were quite tender. Generally considered quite good already for an aglio olio dish.

My friend ordered a creme brulee with a scoop of cookies & cream ice cream. This dessert did not make it. The custard had too much egg in it, it was almost like eating the egg custard in an egg tart. The cookies & cream ice cream was just sweet and had no fine taste to it. Strawberries given were also too sour. Best to avoid this dessert and choose others.

We were all generally unsatisfied with the main dishes we ordered though(except for perhaps the aglio olio dish), so we probably will not revisit this place again.

 I had their katsu cheese chicken set,Their rice was quite nice,tasted like chicken rice,but a bit oily,
The katsu chicken taste normal,the tomatoes sauce on top doesn't go well with it,It made the chicken more soggy,portion was quite huge actually
Service wise ,there's a few waiter & waitress but they just stand there chatting,,when we wanna ask for sauce,we had hard time calling them & also take note that their plain water need $$
