A generous treat from a rich guy, he invited us to have a big feast at Owen Seafood Restaurant. I love Seafood indeed, I can say my whole family also like it. Was at Owen's to satisfy my craving for some fresh seafood. Love the concept of the restaurant as you get to pick your seafood just outside the restaurants (tons of different kind/types of seafood available thus no disappointment!) and the person will catch them live for you right in front of you. For a place like Owen seafood where they are known for their freshness and high quality, I was surprised to taste some odd muddy flavour in the Gong Gong in Gong Bao sauce. The strong tasting sauce was not even enough to hide it. It wasn't very pleasant although I was able to ignore it if I eat with some rice. For a basic dish, the freshness of the seafood is essential hence I was slightly disappointed.

Owen Seafood is one of my favorite place to go for some really fresh seafood. In my opinion, I think their food is much more tastier than those big brands outside and best of all you get to choose your seafood right outside their restaurant. Steam fish just makes me think of home. Fish that are steamed needs to be fresh and this fish definietly is. This steam fish and not only fresh but the fish meat is soft. The fish is steamed just right and together with the sauce and garnishes, the fish is really very good. However, the portion is quite big so it is better if a group went together to eat it. This fish is nice with red cut chilli too.

If you want to have fresh seafood, Owen Seafood Restaurant is the place to go! Located in Turf City, or now known as The Grandstand, it's not easy to get to but well worth the journey. Their salted egg crab. Oh my goodness, I can't stop licking all that creamy salt egg-y goodness each time I crack open the pincer shell. It's very thick and when you sop it up with perfect little man tou buns...it's heavenly! I wouldn't mind just having a bowl of the sauce and the buns. The crab is fresh and huge!

This is the first time i've been to this restaurant. And to my surprise the price for fresh seafood is like wholesale price to me! You can pick your own seafood like from the market and then seated to wait for the staff to recommend style of cooking. i went to owen seafood with my family. my dad went there with some of his clients and said the seafood there is very fresh and tasty. so off we went there during our weekly family outing. i ordered my favourite assam sea bass, my mother wanted to order the normal steamed sea bass, but i thought it was good to try something new. the assam sea bass was really delicious, the fish meat was very fresh and sweet, the assam sauce was not too spicy. it was very thick and a little sourish. it brought out

i went to owen seafood with my girlfriend and family. since there were so many of us, we ordered alot of food, we ordered 3 crabs, sambal kang kong and fish. out of the three different cooking style crabs, my favourite was the black pepper. the black pepper sauce was very tasty. the crabs were very fresh, very sweet. i managed to get a claw and the flesh was indeed awesome.

my hubby and i went to turf city for some delicious seafood, as our kids were busy with their school activities, we could only order limited among of food. we ordered two crabs, the salted egg yoke crab and the usual black pepper crab. both tasted really good. the crabs were very fresh, is tasted sweet and succulent. i love the creamy salted egg yoke crab. the gravy is simply tasty and delicious. i even licked the shell clean!

Located @ Turf city. Visit this seafood restaurant as recommended by friend. We were having seafood craves and we ordered lots of food for 5 pax. There's promotion going on and do call the restaurant for reservations. Their seafood were live and you had to go out and pick it yourself. The staff actually does recommend how you wish your food to be cooked - fried, steam etc. We had 3 crabs and 2 fish.Overall good. Would visit again if we had more people going together.
