this place was once famed for selling abalone and sharkfins at super low prices. they still do. but somehow, my food order was less than perfect.

the soup had a mild tom yam taste to it, and none of the tom yam fragrance you normally get when you order a tom yam soup item.

most sets come with a dessert of the day (mine was white fungus today) and a glass of hot tea (which you have to find a cup and pour-it-yourself)

dessert was not bad actually. not too sweet and had reasonable amount of white fungus in it.

This is a highly-raved eating place with menu items using Rabbit Brand Seafood for less than $10! Mind you, you get what you pay for! Do note that the place is rather small! Though my colleagues and I were the first few customers during lunchtime, a queue built up quickly. So, remember to beat the peak hours! I'm not exactly a seafood lover (no liking for shellfish/sotong-types), so most sets with abalone here were a turnoff for me. I settled for Set J - Shark's Fin + Scallop + Scrambled Egg + Rice (I changed it to Hor Fun w Scallop Sauce to try it) + Soup + Dessert. My colleagues and I also ordered a Spinach Tofu as a side dish.

When my set arrived, it looked like there were only Scrambled Egg + Hor Fun + Soup + Dessert. Where were the Shark's Fin and Scallop? I initially assumed they were fried together in the egg, but found out shortly that the 2 little "messes" beside the egg were the Shark's Fin and Scallop (all chopped up - looked like someone has chewed and spat it out). Honestly, I do not know if there are steps in eating this set or not, but I tasted the Shark's Fin and it was bland. Was I supposed to put it in the soup and drink it together? The Scallop was tasty, but ugly. If somebody had played a prank on me and chewed it before, I wouldn't know! That thought disgusted me and I did not finish it. The Scrambled Egg thankfully was tasty, but oh well, you can't really go wrong with eggs. The Hor Fun with Scallop Sauce reminded me of Ipoh Hor Fun, only the former was a less salty option. Soup and Dessert were average. Notice that lettuce was also given? I suppose I have to use it to wrap something? The set was full of mysteries!

The Spinach Tofu was special. The skin was slightly crispy and the insides were all soft. Good dish!!!

I'd probably return to try the Small Lobster Fried Rice (there is also an ala carte menu order). That looked like a popular order and the Lobster looked substantial. So, in conclusion, I'm not finished with this place!

Total Cost: Set J (Shark's Fin + Scallop + Scrambled Egg + Rice + Soup + Dessert) - $5.50

Didn't know about this shop until my friend brought me there. It is located at lucky plaza, I seldom visit to lucky laza, so I relly got no idea about this shop until I am there. The egg is quite a big bowl and was served warm, taste just delicios. Of coursse, there is mushroom and crabsticks inside the steam egg too. The soup too, is not bad. and the rice will be even more delicious if eat tgt with their chillis. Overall, the food is definitely worth the price, try avoiding dinner time as their will be a long queue awaiting.

It is always a must-go restaurant when i'm in Orchard area. They sell variety of budget seafood set meal such as shark fin and abalone. Set J and Set M are always my favorite. Set J consists of shark's fin, scallops, scrambled egg, rice and soup. Whereas Set M consists of shark's fin, soup, Japanese style steamed egg and rice. Every of the sets also comes with a cup of Chinese tea and dessert. Besides that, you could request shrimp chili from the waiter/waitress. Guess what? These two set

Worth right?

Even though they are selling seafood set meal at low price, but they do maintain the quality of their food.

Rabbit Brand Seafood Delicacies is a good place to have abalones, sharkfins, fish maw soup, scallops wihout burning a hole in your pocket at Orchard district. With a large variety of set meals to choose from, you will be spoilt for choices but I would highly recommend to try the set G, consists of shark fins + scallops + chicken meat with udon and comes with chinese tea and a bowl of dessert. The udon is exceptionally good with the sauce which cost only $5.50. The spinach tofu is also a must try

My colleagues and I jokingly said that there is no meat in this shop! Only luxury shark's fin soup, abalone and all the seemingly expensive seafood. However, all of them cost about $5 each. I wonder if they are real seafood or just cheap imitation. I really don't know, I cannot differentiate too. But the soup provided is really bland. I like the guo tiao with abalone sauce most. If I am to go back, I would definitely order that again. Be warn, there is no real meat. So if you are hungry and crav

Be warn, there is no real meat. So if you are hungry and craving for meat, may be you have to buy snack after the meal.

I ordered the shishamo, it was deep fried with a layer of dough on the outside. When eating it, usually people esp the Japs would eat everything, including the head of the fish. I was not able to, just tried the body, and still prefered shishamo to be grilled instead of fried. The tea was free flow, unlike at Crystal Jade, where they would charge per pot. Food was okay, as I did not go with too high an expectation.
