Went shopping in orchard area with my family. Happened to passby this small cafe just outside Heeren Shopping centre. They have promotional price for tea time. So we decided to have a try on their drinks & desserts as well. They have blended ice drinks. We ordered some ice blended (Oreo ice blended). I find that the drinks are not really fantastic. They serves other food (such as noodles, dim sum) as well in the basement.

As I have the coupons for the Heeren's branch, decided to try it out for the first time. The Heeren's branch was known as Ruyi Sweetheart and it's an outdoor concept. Opened 24 hours, we sat outside under their big, yellow umbrella overlooking the long queue at H&M as it's their opening day today too. It does get quite humid as there's no air-con.

My friends and I ordered Ruyi Fried Noodle, Stewed Minced Pork Noodle and Ruyi Fried Rice. Their fried rice is especially cooked in olive oil from Italy and top with their special sauce. Every grain of their rice is yellow in colour as they have been coated with egg. Top with carrot, spring onion, prawns and diced bbq pork, it's really a flavourful dish. Their Ruyi Fried Noodle is very tasty too but it's too dry and hard to chew.

Mango Pudding is refreshingly fresh and yummy. The price after using the coupon is more reasonable and worthy of the food.

I had told my hubby die die must go to Ruyi since it's under Tung Loks Group and also because of its affortable pricing which were not found before under the Tung Loks Group of restaurants after i came across it's promotion coupons on Groupons.I ordered a prawn fried rice at $6.50,a bowl of noddle soup at $6.50, 4 pieces of chicken wings at $1.80 each and drinks and asked for another empty bowl since i would like to share the noddles but they wanted to charge me 30cents extra for the paper bowl

The prawn fried rice is disappointing because the prawns are so small (picture shows big prawns),tasteless and fried rice so so.Noddles completely tasteless for me as its too bland for my tastebuds.
I would not frequent this restaurant again even if the price is right but i will still go to Tung Loks Group as they serve good foods even though it's very expensive.

won 2 set of value meals at Ruyi chinese fast food restuarant from previous lucky draw.

i tried ruyi when it was open at Resort world sentosa.. but did not like the dumpling skin.. i guess it was because it was too soft??

i tried a few similar dumplings before.. and i liked them.. but this is rather different

however.. the fillings are good.

well anyway we had chicken curry set meal and pork rice with salted vege..

curry taste good.. and i love the potatoes as it was very soft and tasty
curry taste mild hot

the meat with salted vege... well its good to mix them together.. and eat it.. =)

lastly i would recommend the dumpling with hot and sour soup instead of the mala sauce..

mala sauce is very salty.. although may be slightly hot.. but hot and sour soup taste better and has more ingredients.
