The thing I like about Sake's sushi is that they are rather fresh and so is their sashimi. LOVE THE CHAWAMUSHI!! Full and satisfied!

Taking photo of food before eating became my habit, I don’t know since when. It is not a bad thing, at least I can capture the appearance of the food everytime I eat. Another dish, Inari was one of my favourite sushi although it was very common. The price was reasonable, costed $1.99 for all colour plate sushi.

Had about 20 minutes to spare one weekday afternoon at scape, so we went to Sakae sushi for our favourite chawanmushi. Yeah, slightly weird to walk in to only have chawanmushi, but hey, this shows the chawanmushi is good This is the sakae chawanmushi. The egg was steamed very smooth and was just palatable for that rainy and dreary afternoon. It was a good perk me up as well! I will definitely be back, even if it's just for this tiny bowl of chawanmushi

Tried their buffet dinner. As it was a friday night, it costed around $23.99++. Since it was a buffet, we took many items. But the best item is still the salmon sushi. The service was quite bad. Often, there seems to be no one to serve you. And even when you asked the staff something, like asking where's the dish that you ordered, they didn't bother checking with the kitchen and just replied that they are preparing it now. I don't think I would return here because of the service.

It was time for lunch again and my friends and i decided to dine at Sakae Sushi for the ala carte !I remember the first sushi restaurant I’ve been to was sakae sushi. Was totally amazed by the conveyor belt thing, well, that was very long ago haha. Anyway, love their ordering method. So efficient and fast! And kind of hygenic too as your food is prepared as you order it. Their buffet is also very worth it! Absolutely love their sushi!

service was prompt and we were quickly seated. the service staff was kind enough to give us our privacy for a fair bit of chatter before tending to us again for orders. casually, we asked for the hot green tea, and did the rest of the orders via the digitised touch screen menu.curry tonkatsu riceI always like Japanese curry. The flavour is thick and rich even it is not very spicy. The tonkatsu is crispy and tender too. I can finish the whole bowl easily!!

One thing about sakae sushi is they are very generous with their toppings. We both are crazy over the salmon sashimi sushi and the crabmeat mayo sushi. We also ordered their chawamushi, okonomiyaki, takopachi and other sushi. I guess they specialise mainly in sushi cos their okos and takos were not really nice. it was more flour than ingredients. Their takopachi was not soft and chewy unlike those you find outside. However I must commend them on their chawamushi, it is so smooth and tasty. Their sashimi is really fresh too. Love the mayo they mixed with the crab meat, very light and refreshing.

Decided to dine in at this outlet for our sushi buffet dinner as this outlet is not as crowded as the other outlets in town and since it was on a friday. Ordered a lot of sushi from the menu and had fried hotate, fried tofu, chawanmushi etc. Service was also quick though the only downside was my fried tofu took quite some time to come. Everytime I'm there I will definitely go for the tea time or dinner buffet!Personally I think tea time buffet is more worth it 'cause it's cheaper but you can still eat till the night!I really like the buffet because there is a wide variety of sushis to choose from! You can eat till you drop seriously. However they do limit the number of red plates (more expensive) you can take. I really like the buffet because there is a wide variety of sushis to choose from! You can eat till you drop seriously. However they do limit the number of red plates (more expensive) you can take. But i'm okay with it because I'm sure the organization has got to minimize their costs as well. There is also one serving of udon and desserts under the buffet! Drinks are not included though.

One down side would be the selection of sushis on the belt only comes in intervals. So sometimes there will not be a wide variety on the conveyor belt and you have to order from the menu.

But i'll definitely recommend this place if you are looking for japanese buffet. The ala carte is too expensive!

I was here at Scape with another friend to support our friends at a school competition. It was 20 minutes to 10 and we weren't sure what to eat. We wanted to make it quick and dine at somewhere nearby so that we wouldn't miss the next performance. Hence we took one level down and settled on Sakae Sushi. I thought that I wouldn't want to try the colored plates anymore as I was certain the standard had really dropped compared to years ago, so I ordered the Udon instead. It was the pork slices udon that came accompanied with a fried tempura. The noodles were chewy soft but not lumpy, retaining the noodle's natural texture. The soup was alright tasting though the pork slices made the soup really oily and the meat was a little salty. The fried tempura was the best part though, freshly fried and crunchy revealing a fresh prawn inside. Overall it was not too bad, beats having many ordinary colored plates sushi for dinner instead.
