Me and my friends decided to go visit Swensens on a weekday night.Albeit it was crowded and we had to queue a bit before we get in, the service was rather prompt, including waiting for our dishes to be served, considering the number of customers sitting inside.we ordered a main dish and shared a dessert, the Earthquake ice cream.I had their Baked Spaghetti Bolognaise Pasta, which was done just well. I had chicken baked rice at this restaurant. It is a very warm dish (beware: do not touch the steaming sides of the plate) and I find the cheesy flavour of it especially enticing. Managed to eat the plate clean. This is followed by 5 scoops of ice-cream. The usual flavours apply - though they have introduced a new one: gula melaka. To celebrate V day with the family, sister bought a ice-cream cake. It is a very cute-looking cake and comes with a lovely name : Sticky Chewy Lovely ($18.90). Inside the cake is Swensen's signature Sticky Chewy Chocolate ice-cream, with a smooth layer of jelly on top, topped with juicy assorted berries. Remember to peel off the plastic around the side before cutting the cake, which happens to my mother. The ice-cream is very nice but not very chocolatey.

My niece has chosen the kid's meal during our family gathering and i was quite happy to see the food items served to her after about fifteen minutes. The cup of sweetcorns was quite crunchy and not too salty, really good for kids. The french fries are also crispy and not too oily. The burger was abit too dry and lack of dressings, but still the overall presentation looks good and appearing.

Celebrated brother's birthday at Swensen's with family. At that time, there was quite a long queue and the restaurant was quite crowded. We waited for approximately 15 minutes. The service was good and fast, we were brought to a clean table afterwards. The waitress served us with a smile and managed to take down our orders correctly. The old time classic - cream of mushroom soup. What I love about Swensen's mushroom soup is that it is the mushroom pieces are big enough to chew. The soup is really good especially when you dip it with the bread that comes with it. The whole dish is so filling that you could treat this as a meal itself. I went to have lunch with my classmate at swensen after school. I had ordered the spicy fish baked rice. The baked rice tasted too creamy for me. And the portion was quite big. At last, my classmate need to help me to finish my baked rice. But overall the food at swensen tasted nice. I will definitely revisit swensen again.
