There was a one for one promotion a few months ago. The prawns in the seafood aglio olio was fresh and goes well with the pasta. Soft-shell Crab with Black Pepper Pasta, the black pepper sauce was alright. The baked rice took more than 30 minutes to arrive and it turns out they forgotten our order. We also ordered two slices of cakes and azuki green tea latte. Overall, I didn't really like the revamp of their menu, tcc took out some of my favourite dishes including the mini crayfish wasabi pasta

Oreo cookies frappe was very rich in its taste, and very thick as well. I think it's better after the ice melted, easier to drink.

The high tea set has a variety of tarts, cakes, scones and some meat on a biscuit. But the highlight of the set was the raisin scones! Tip: It's better to eat the scones immediately when served! It was warm when served and it was flaky and crumbly (the crumbs fell off easily) and it was so nice when put with jam! There's another one with duck meat on top of a biscuit which tasted rather unusual on a high tea set.

I was there early so I ordered a salad dish and some appetizers to share with early birds while waiting for the rest to come.

My drink choice...Passion Yuzu Ice Tea
This is good, refreshingly sweet passion fruit sorbet with citrusy yuzu peels...perked me up instantly!

Things started to go downhill from this point onwards...

Deluxe Snack Platter
The Calamari was not fresh, it tasted slightly fishy and very chewy. The Cheese sticks should have a chewing gum stretch when broken into two, but they broke cleanly like biscuits, it is obviously overcooked!

Shroom bites
These were burnt underneath and looks like quite haphazardly put together with ingredients overflowing on the sides of the bites.

My main course is Ocean Surfin
I ordered this due to the good impression it left me on my last visit to tcc Bugis. I'm very disappointed, the fish is overcooked and sorta shrank in size!

Service level here was alright. However, the overall food quality here hass more misses than hits. We won't be coming back anytime soon.

Decided to head down to TCC cause of the $30 TCC voucher that my friend gave me.Although the ambience and furnishing is excellent, the price is rather pricey!We've ordered 2 chocolate devil cakes, a coffee and passion fruit tea and we've used up all our vouchers!Nonetheless, have to say that although it might not had been worthwhile, but, the cakes and drinks are really not bad. The drink is not-too-sweet nor sour, just right! The cake has a strong and rich chocolate flavor.

Most of them are quite full, so no desserts for them. I'm also quite full after the meal, but I always have room for dessert, so I ordered a Mango Delight instead of my usual Dark Devotion

As I mentioned, we ordered quite a lot of other food items & we were disappointed with the food quality. Most of the items are over-cooked, and this is the first time TCC disappoint me (us)! For more details, please visit: http://milkfrost.blogspot.sg/2013/04/tcc-wisma-atria.html

TCC is now having the 1-for-1 main course/pasta promotion in conjunction of the GSS, up till 21 July. What a bargain! We ordered the O'bello cheesy eggplant and absolutely love it. The eggplant is cooked but not too soft. It is layered with cheese, and topped with the mushroom. Very tasty, especially the mushroom which has a hint of truffle oil, yummy! Baby crayfish spaghetti is all time favourite! The dish comes with generous amount of crayfish, fresh and strong seafoody flavour!

Glad that TCC is holding this promotion during the great singapore sale period so that we are able to enjoy their main course or pasta for 1 for 1. This is actually my first time trying out their main course and pasta and i must say i was quite satisfied with it. I particularly like their Seafood Aglio Olio Pasta ($20.50++). It’s perfect al dente spaghetti tossed in olive oil, chili flakes and garlic. The spaghetti is firm, has bite and goes very well with the huge pan seared scallop pieces and fresh prawns served in this dish. Garlic lovers will like the generous sprinkling of garlic over this dish.tcc has also expanded its food menu and I tried this new item- Baby Crayfish Spaghetti ($20++) which is spaghetti tossed in luscious tomato cream sauce with generous servings of sauteed baby crayfish, topped with green wasabi fish roe. I felt the tomato cream sauce was actually a good combination of tomato and cream flavours; it is slightly watery and not too overly creamy thick. I quite enjoyed slurping the firm spaghetti strands drenched in the sauce. The baby crayfish served here were fresh and they were really generous with the portions. The wasabi fish roe added a nice crunchy, sharp peppery wasabi flavour to the entire mix which complemented the dish.

Their pasta menu is worth a try, especially if you need to find a place to have a meal and coffee after shopping. You may need to put up with less than desirable service though. Every customer was having a main course and the service staff were really busy. They took quite a while to serve water and bring the bill, but surprisingly the main courses did not take too long to appear. Also, if the cafe gets crowded, do be prepared to queue! Seems like more people are becoming aware of the 1 for 1 promo.

I am a big fan of English Breakfast tea. So this time round, I decided to try out the Special breakfast. Actually, I didn't taste anything special about the tea except that the price is an astonishing $8.50 per pot. The good thing about TCC is that you can ask for hot water refill and the ambiance was cosy enough to read a good book.

Warm Asparagus Ragout Salad ($8.90++)

The flaky pastry is filled with creamy asparagus and mushroom ragout. The pastry is quite flaky and the ragout was not too creamy.

Deep-fried eggplants, king oyster mushroom and asparagus were stacked neatly and garnished with mesclun salad leaves. The king oyster mushroom is smoothered with some vinegrette which I like the slightly tangy flavour. The tomatoes were topped with some sesame and walnuts paste which I forgot to request them to remove it. I had to scrape them off by the side.

Seafood Aglio Olio

HT is not a fan of scallops thus she changed it to all prawns for their pasta. The pasta is served with about 5 prawns( which I think is very small)

HT commmted :” The pasta is a little dry and bland and what is the green green thing doing in my pasta?” The green stuff is actually chives + corriander and it has an acquired taste thus HT is not used to it.

Sea Perch with Wasabi Vinegrette ($20.80)

Friend working at TCC recommended the Sea perch and I decided to try it. 2 sea perch fillets lightly seared and served with brocolli, tomato and wasabi vinegrette.

I didn’t think much about the fish as they were rather bland and personally I didn’t like the texture of sea perch. The wasabi vinegrette is quite interesting… it taste mild at first but it was in a sudden that the pungent flavour rushes into my nostrils and I starting weeping. The wasabi vinegrette is not as strong as the real wasabi but HT thought was rather weird and awful.

Dark Devotion ($11++)

Dark Devotion, the all time favourites at TCC. Frankly speaking, it was my first time trying their warm chocolate cake despite the raves about it. A 15 mins waiting is required and the cake came warm, topping with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. We were excited and slowly pierce out spoon into the cake , hot lava chocolate flows out instantly and blends in with the vanilla ice-cream…. that was gorgeous and we slowly enjoyed the cake.

HT commented ,” Personally I like the one at Fish and Co as the chocolate is not that rich and it cost only $4.50!”.

Caramel Soy Pudding & Citrus Jello (9++)

A lovely dessert appeared right in front of me. The dessert is basically some vanilla sponge , a caramel soy pudding with lots of fresh cream and strawberries and the bottom consists of citrus jello and crumbles.I can only say that there is too much cream. The caramel soy pudding is very light but the texture was a little firm. The Citrus Jello a.k.a Agar agar and the crumbles was what I enjoyed most… soft texture + crunchy crumbles. The mashmellows would probably be what kids would enjoy.

I beg to differ, the chocolate lava was rich but the quality of the chocolate used was relatively good but a little on the sweet side. I didn’t enjoy the vanilla ice-cream as there is a heavy usage of milk in it.
