Knowing that they offer lunch sets, my colleagues and I hopped down one day for a meal. They had 2 price ranges of set lunch, $11.90 & $13.90, both of which you can choose a main course, appetizer & drink. I picked from the $11.90 set and had the sliced beef noodle, fresh rice paper roll & Vietnamese Jasmine tea. Sliced Beef Noodle
The bean sprouts & mint leaves were given separately, which is great for those who don't like these in their dish. I found the soup a little salty and the beef a little tough. Noodle portion was quite a lot and it really filled me up together with the appetizer.

Fresh Rice Paper Roll
These rice paper rolls consisted of lettuce, thick Beehoon, bean sprouts & pork slices. There may be other ingredients inside but I can't really remember. Would have preferred if they used prawns instead of pork slices.

Vietnamese Jasmine Tea: I ordered the cold version and it tasted just like the normal Jasmine Tea (not that I'm complaining, just that I thought there might be something different when they called it 'Vietnamese' Jasmine Tea). The tea was smooth and didn't contain any sugar.

Although everything I had was just average to me, this is a place I'd return to if I'm in the vicinity and craving for some Pho and fresh rice paper rolls.

In terms of environment, I must warn you that the seats are abit tattered and torn, menu had some pages torn out, but the affordable food price and quality makes up for the ambience. There were so many things i wanted to try and looking around at the other diners, all their food looks delicious! My bf tried the beef pho, which had a very very tasty broth and perfect for someone who wants to eat light. Another good thing is they are super generous with the slices of beef and beef balls, which made the dish very value for money.

I had the grilled chicken set, which i must say is good for variety, but taste wise, the chicken was alright only. If you look at the picture carefully, you will see this piece of grainy thing next to the chicken. This was actually a kind of meat loaf made from chicken and I really find it quite unique and tasty! As I don't like to eat rice, having eggs, chicken, meat load and some cucumbers very diet friendly as well. I would still recommend the pho though and will be back to try their summer rolls!

First time tried this halal certified restaurant and was really impressed on the taste of the foods served to me. THe service is also quite prompt and friendly as well. I had their chicken meat rice, which the rice is fragrant and not soggy. The chicken meat is also very chewy and juicy, not too dry and very fragrant as well. THe portion is quite alright and the price is consider reasonable.

Tucked away in habourfront centre, it took me quite awhile to find this restaurant. But it's worth it! The staff was really friendly and handed us the menus promptly as soon as we were seated. Three colours is actually just a drink like the dessert chendol. But I guess there's too much ice in it that I had to scoop it out as it wasn't melting fast enough for me to drink or eat the jellies that were at the bottom of the glass. Taste wise, not alot of wow factor as it just taste like the chendol dessert and abit pricey at $5.90. There's alot of unique drinks on the menu so you definitely should try one of those drinks that you don't see often.

The beef hotpot is just kind of like the japanese shabu-shabu, where you dip the thin pieces of beef into the soup and let it cook for as long as you like. A good suggestion is to dip it with soy sauce and chilli after taking it out from the soup. There were cabbage, golden mushrooms, mushrooms and tofu! Somehow the soup itself was already quite savoury even without the beef. It comes with a bowl of rice as well.

The staff were really friendly and helpful with our requests when we asked for warm water, and the manager himself even went out to take orders from the customers. There weren't alot of crowd even during dinner time probably because the location is rather obscure, and not situated at location where many people will walk past. This makes dining even more enjoyable with lesser crowd, good food and friendly service!

The spring rolls here are very much different from those at the hawker center and coffee shops. They have used the very thin broad rice noodles to use as the skin instead of popiah skin. The fillings are really healthy which includes thinly sliced carrots, cabbages, beansprouts, sliced omelette and spring onion in it. This restaurant has added in their special sauce to this dish which make it really refreshing and with slightly sweetness to it. It uses steam method instead of grilled or deep

The restaurant is always packed, especially during dinner, so its' best and recomended to make a reservation. Wow, this coffee from Orange Lantern is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO thick, i missed quite a few days of sleep! It's aroma can be smelled from a distance away, so if you don't want to sleep, get a cup of this kopi! This Vietnam Hot Pot is flavorful with spices that one have not heard of, and i have always had this perception that vietnam food leans much more towards the sour side, and that is true!

I went to the orange lantern for dinner with a couple of friends. It is a Vietnamese restaurant. I did not expect myself to fall so hard for Vietnamese food. I ordered their pho bo, which is their special beef noodle soup. it was so good, there were a lot of ingredients inside, namely sliced beef, beef balls and beef brisket. It is served together with flat noodle in a really tasty broth. The soup is so tasty, the flavor was not overpowering too. it is really good.

They have many varieties of food and it take a while for s to choose. We end up ordering their combo sets. Food is good, price reasonalble and very affordable. Definitely don't mind to come back to dine again.
