After school one day, on a particularly eventful day, my friends and I decide to had a lunch gathering at Yoshinoya.I had my Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl and i think i added too much seasoning to it, as can be seen from the picture above. I like this dish out of the others because of the thick teriyaki sauce, which can also be used to season the white rice and also the chicken which is quite tender. They also have vegetables (long beans, cauliflowers, and carrots. Which gives off quite a healthy

there is only one bad thing of yoshinoya, the servings offered seems like some kids meal it is just too little to fill up my stomach. However, just love their beef rice set. Its juicy and tender and they complement well together especially with the japanese rice served. It taste even better when you mix the beef and rice together, you can taste the meat in every bite.

We ordered the combo meal.

Bowl complete meal: $9.90 which include a bowl set, a drink, miso soup, dessert and fries/cup corn.
They have some add ons for $1 only, so we ordered the sweet potato fries.
My brother upsized his teriyaki bowl and by paying a dollar more, his portion of rice and teriyaki chicken is of a larger portion and I feel that it is quite worth for guys.
I really like the teriyaki sauce on the chicken. However, the salmon bowl which my mother ordered was quite dry. The cup of corn was nice.

As for the dessert, I suggest people to take the green tea pudding if it is available rather than the fruit pudding. The fruit pudding only consist of those mixed fruits which come from the fruit can. The green tea pudding was nice and please choose this dessert instead if it is available.

Japanese fast food that is way better than fast food burgers and fried chicken! This is more wholesome, with rice, vegetables and meat. It's not as cheap as my local hawker centre but I think the quality is better (the food is not burnt here, unlike at the local hawker centre). Service is fast and polite and they obviously support the grey parade. Tasty food and the rice used is short grain rice! Recommended! They even have auto-ordering machines now!

yoshinoya is no frills and have pretty good japanese food. not sure if they are authentic as it doesn't really taste that authentic. the beef bowl is good, but i think i could do a better job with the beef. it's a bit too dry. cups with very good miso soup. there are condiments on some tables, like preserved ginger, soy sauce, etc. it's not very cheap but it's not too bad. like that they used short grain rice - however, it is not japanese short grain. did not like their ebi rice as the shrimp wa

I decided to order something different from my usual beef bowl, so today i tried out their teriyaki chicken meal instead. As i took the student meal, it costs me only $5. I didn't particularly like their teriyaki chicken as i feel that it seems a bit too dry for me. I wish they had put more sauce on the chicken. Didn't eat the raw vegetables too as it is not to my liking. I think next time i will stick to the usual beef bowl. Service was fine and fast as well.

I could not decide on what to eat, and decided to grab a quick bite at yoshinoya as i was starving! I ordered the usual beef bowl, which was filled with steamed veggies, and very thinly sliced beef! With a sprinkle of their special spices, the beef tasted even more delicious and i hungrily gobbled this down!

Yoshinoya sells pretty affordable Japanese food. One afternoon, we walked in to have our tea break there. They have tea time specials..something like $3.50-$4.50 for a set of rice or noodles. I ordered a bowl of rutan wakame ramen. The dish was deliciously colorful with a mix of egg, crabmeat, seaweed and Japanese fishcake. All cooked with a homemade chicken soup, its indeed a satisfying meal.

You cant really taste the MSG in it, im craving for it evn as im typing this right now!

My brother got back the new bento box from yoshinoya, the hearty salmon bento which comes with scallop, fish cake, fried prawns, the salmon bowl and a cup of regular drink. adding to $9.90. scallop is taste normal and abit dry, the fried prawn doesnt taste nice, its soggy and tasteless, fish cake is ok, and salmon bowl is still up to standard with the boiled vegetables, fried salmon covered in mayo and a bowl of rice. overall acceptable but not very satisfying as a bento set.

Ordered the Ebi Sjora meal that costs $8.50. Personally I think that the meal is overpriced, as there are cheaper and tastier Jap food at other places. The ebi was okay, but I never liked Yoshinoya's vegetables as they were bland and not soft at times. The drink, Mango Peach, was refreshing. The staff provided good service by introducing the types of Sjora meals available, such as chicken, beef, ebi and explained the meal promotion.
