What a great family time at Tak Po! We had Dim Sum for breakfast and it's invigorating to see tourists like Americans coming in to try our local chinese delights.Anyway it's great food at cheap prices! In terms of service I'd say they need to be more attentive, we had to call about three-four timse before they finally serve us tea. Ordered 7 dishes and more, very nice to eat! This is something like banana fritters, its crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside. Be careful because I happily b

This is something like banana fritters, its crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside. Be careful because I happily bite into the crust and the hot oil just burst out of it and burnt my lips. This is a must-try!

As usual, my top-favourite rice roll with filling inside (we bought both prawns and cha shao). I think the flour used to the rice roll is very fluffy, it doesn't tear apart easily (not too soft or thick). THe sauce is a great blend of sweetness and saltiness. After eating many rice rolls, I felt that it's time for some dim sum companies to dare to do something different, away from the spirit of majority, just as people puts different filling into the xiao long bao.

I forgot how this taste like, it's probably those kind of forgettable taste but doesn't it look delicious? It's my mother's favourite so i guess it depends on the individual if you wanna order this.

The har gao is really so yummy that 3 pieces isn't enough! Definitely must try. Sad thing is the skin sticks to the paper so i think it's too sticky. If you want to maximize your tasting experience, drink chrynsanthenum tea with a bit of sugar in it so that you can have the perfect genuine blend. If you drink Chinese tea or pu er and other teas that they provide, it just don't taste refreshing and different.

Siew Mai is not as fascinating or delicious as I expect them to be, I've tasted better. I guess it's because when they serve us the siew mai it's already cold, thus the fragrance of this delicacy does not linger in your mouth.

Porridge.. i'd give a passing grade, this is the one with pi dan (century egg). It's flavouring is there for sure, not too salty nor blend. I just prefer congee you know?

All in all, i'd still put it in my list of visiting Tak po again with my family
