Ootoya Japanese Restaurant at Clementi Mall is quite small in size. During our visit there, the normal table seats are all taken, and we are seated at the tatami area. The scallops rice also comes with a big bowl of soup. The slightly starchy soup contains heaps of vegetables, some mushrooms and chicken cubes. Very filling.

We also ordered the negisauce. It is actually pieces of fried chicken thigh that served on salads. It then topped with mashed potato and some fresh sweet tomatoes. Quite a delicious and well-balanced dish.
