Pau for breakfast Smile Aug 05, 2013
Categories : Dim Sum

Ho kee pau has many outlets throughout singapore making them a convenient choice to grab a quick local pau. The da pau is pretty good, substantial in side and pretty juicy and tasty with a soft and fluffy exterior skin. The meat oozes with juice and is very flavourful. The skin also stands up well without being too thick. Costs 1 dollar plus for one pau so its affordable

This stall specializes in pau hence this review focuses on the paus only

Barley OK Aug 05, 2013

Categories : Malaysian | Food Court

The food at the Malaysian Food Street in Resorts World Sentosa is all pretty wallet friendly. However the drinks are definitely not. Each tiny drink which consists predominantly of ice cost more than 2 dollars! This is really expensive considering the drinks are all very regular. The barley that I had tasted like any other barley drink from a normal stall and I felt it was too expensive to justify the small size.

The dim sum items here are pretty ok too nothing special though such as siew mai that is very normal The lime drink with sour plum is worth a try.

Delicious dim sum Smile Aug 05, 2013

Canton Paradise is not cheap for sure. But the dim sum is seriously good. My favourite is the baked char siew pau. It is filled with chunks of savory and saucy pieces of juicy and fatty meat which is super duper tasty. It is piping hot and encased by a soft bun which is slightly buttery in taste. The top is the best being crisp and crunchy especially when eaten hot! My new favourite!

Additionally, the siew mais and the char siew sou is also fantastic! I really like those items!

Milk tea  Cry Aug 05, 2013

Needed a drink to go with my lunch, so I decided on getting a hot milk tea from the drink stall at this food court. The drink was an absolute dissapointment though. It was very bland and lacking in flavour, not sweet enough and without a strong taste. The milk taste was also weak and the whole drink just tasted wrong and very watered down. Not worth the 1.30 i paid for this. The chin chow was ok though, not specatacular but at least it had enough taste.

salted chicken for dinner Smile Aug 05, 2013

This place is known for one thing and one thing only, their salt baked chicken. This dish is increasingly difficult to find nowadays! Though it is expensive, a small chicken costs more than $20, the chicken is very delicious. It is very moist and tender and the salt taste is evident but not overwhelming. Overall a great dish and great eaten with rice for dinner.
