Sukhothai Kitchen (formally known as Arroythai Kitchen) is located at Blk 408 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10.
Mango Salad, $5

Mango Salad, $5

If you are the appetizer kinda person, you must let this dish stimulate your taste buds! The mango is very sour but extremely addictive with bites of onions in between.
Home Made Thai Prawn Cake, $5

Home Made Thai Prawn Cake, $5

Do people describe prawn cakes as chewy meaty pieces? Probably not. Dipped in their thai fish & chilli sauces, this goes well ‘naked’ or with rice. It would be even better if the prawn taste can be more distinctive.
Deep Fried Garlic Pork, $6

Deep Fried Garlic Pork, $6

Loads of garlic in this non-oily deep fried pork bites! I’m a garlic lover who loves the fragrant but not overwhelming garlic smell in this crispy meat dish. Cinemas should start selling this so I can replace it over popcorn.
Tom Yum Seafood (Clear), $5

Tom Yum Seafood (Clear), $5

Thai food is never complete with some kick-ass Tom Yum soup! It’s amazing how a harmless clear soup can be so spicy! While you hiss from the spiciness, the sour aftertaste may just make you go back for more.

Fried Mince Pork with Basil Leaf, $8

Fried Mince Pork with Basil Leaf, $8

Another must-have dish whenever people eat thai food! I usually avoid basil leaves at all cost but I find this dish palatable even though I ate it without rice. It wasn’t overly salty nor oily.

Baked Glass Noodle with Prawn, $16

Baked Glass Noodle with Prawn, $16

I don’t know what sauce they put in there but that glass noodles soak it all up. All the flavors in the pot just went right into the noodles that is cooked exactly to my liking. In fact, the noodles might have just stolen the limelight of the prawns. The simmering is definitely worth the effort. Baked? Literally.
Steam Fish with Spicy Lemon Sauce, $22

Steam Fish with Spicy Lemon Sauce, $22

When the steaming fish in its fish metal plate arrived at my table, I whiffed lime/lemon. That actually whetted up a little more space in my stomach. With minced garlic & chilli in tangy sauce, the sea bass is surely one of my favourite!

Tataki of Tuna with Peppercorn Salad, $11.90

Tataki of Tuna with Peppercorn Salad, $11.90

The outer part of the tuna is cooked, with a layer of pepper & herbs and leaving the insides raw like Sashimi. Extremely fresh & salivating.
Exotic Mushroom Infused with Truffle, $7.50

Exotic Mushroom Infused with Truffle, $7.50

Mushrooms grinded, simmered & drizzled generously with truffle oil. I love this mushroom soup & wouldn’t stop feeding myself spoon after spoon!
Curry Seafood Pizza, $11.80

Curry Seafood Pizza, $11.80

This curry pizza is so spicy but I worshipped it! It’s like a fusion of western pizza & Indian prata with Malay Nasi Briyani. Oh my… what has my description turned into?

It’s a must try!
Seafood Lasagna Maki, $14.80

Seafood Lasagna Maki, $14.80

This is something new! I am not someone who will order lasagna usually but this? Quite different. The seafood is very fresh & juicy. I will definitely try it again!
Wagyu Tomahawk, $198

Wagyu Tomahawk, $198

When this was served, I was thinking: “Wow, this is huge. Probably the meat will be tough.”…. But no! It was simply marvelous! Even the fats tasted good. So tender & so well marinated, I can imagine why many people love to have this with some nice alcohol.

With a single scoop of Haagen-Daz Macadamia Nut Ice Cream and hot apple in the crumble, this is a delight to the tongue!

Mookata Thai BBQ Steamboat Smile May 02, 2013

Categories : Thai | Restaurant | Buffet | Mookata

Less than 5mins walk from Outram MRT, Moojaa is a great find!

“Moo Ka Ta” literally means “pork skillet” in Thai. It’s created so that both BBQ and hot pot/steamboat can be enjoyed at the same time.
Set Gai ($39.90) Buffet

Set Gai ($39.90) Buffet

*The refill of vegetables and all Ala Carte items is applicable for the Buffet Option only.

A variety of meat & vegetables: Boneless chicken, prawns, pork balls, squids, scallops, crabmeats, abalone slices, golden mushroom, tang hoon (vermicelli), xiao bai cai & kang kong.
Set Gai ($39.90)

Set Gai ($39.90)

Instead of coating the BBQ pan with oil/butter, a piece of pork lard was placed at the top center so that the oil will flow down to the sides to bbq other meat.
Set Gai ($39.90)

Set Gai ($39.90)

The fragrance of bbq meat and the sweetness of the soup is heavenly!

The meat are all very well marinated that even a non-pork lover like me found myself reaching for more pork belly.

Lunch: Monday to Friday (11am – 2pm)

Dinner: Monday to Sunday (5pm – 11pm)

KungFu Paradise recently launched a new “All-Day Breakfast Bonanza” promotion!
Breakfast menu

Breakfast menu

7 different kinds of breakfast to choose from.
Kay’s Breakfast Combo, $12.80

Kay’s Breakfast Combo, $12.80

I always tend to order this combo: fried eggs, cheese sausage, turkey bacon and toasted white bread. The safest set & definitely fulfilling.

The sides comprised of sautéed button mushrooms, cherry tomatoes with pesto sauce and rocket salad with balsamic vinaigrette.

Is using only rocket greens for the entire salad a right choice? Not many people can appreciate the bitter taste and it can be a lil too overwhelming.

Check out other dishes' mouth-watering photos & full review here: http://myfatpocket.com/herine/2013/04/05/kungfu-paradise-presents-all-day-breakfast-bonanza-promotion/

Calamari Rings, $6 nett.

Calamari Rings, $6 nett.

So crispy and it wasn’t oily at all! If you are a calamari lover, you should order this when you are there. Oh yes, and they ain't shrunken like some other cafes serve.
Pasta Marinara, $15 nett.

Pasta Marinara, $15 nett.

Love this indulgence of prawns, calamari, mussels and fish! If you know pasta, Marinara is made up of rich tomato and wine sauce. I told the friendly waiter that I like something spicy, so he suggested to send in a special order for me. Pasta Marinara with the sauce of Arrabiata (spicy sauce of garlic, tomatoes, wine and red chilli).

I’m in love with this combination! The seafood was very fresh and the pasta was cooked perfectly.
Sirloin Steak, $20 nett

Sirloin Steak, $20 nett

My friend ordered this with black pepper sauce. I love the sides – baby carrots, mash potato & long beans! The beef was done medium rare. She usually only eat her steaks near to well done as she is afraid of seeing and tasting blood. However, after trying this steak, she was surprised that she likes it too!

They are open from 10.30am – 12.30am daily.
