This is my second time drinking Lou Han Guo and it is very drastically different from the first time I first tasted it.

It tasted more like a beer to me. This Lou Han Guo is kind of weird tasting, kind of regret ordering the large cup.

Still, I will still patronize this stall as the auntie and uncle at this stall is real friendly. I just felt very welcome by them.

This is my first time here at Alexandra Village Food Centre, there are so many attractive stalls out there that we couldn't decide what to have. So it was either claypot rice or Bak Kut Teh and we decided to have Bak Kut Teh.

Bak Kut Teh in Singapore has 2 type: 1 that is clear with strong peppery taste and the other one look like soya sauce colour which does not have the strong peppery taste.

And the Bak Kut Teh served at Hock Kee Bak Kut Teh isn't peppery but there's still this Bak Kut Teh essence in the soup, not that rich but okay. I would say it is the average Bak Kut Teh stall that if you are craving for Bak Kut Teh it will not satisfy you.

I was quite hesitant to order my dessert at this stall as I patronized the Chong Pang Market outlet once and it wasn't that fantastic. Then he was saying, "can try lah, auntie made one sure good!"

So I gave it a shot.

The soup was bland, although peanut were pleasantly seen but the fragrance wasn't there. The glutinous ball itself is filled with peanut and it is very juicy. If you intend to eat glutinous ball, get that early as I had the last few at 8+pm.

It was a little disappointment.There wasn't crowd during dinner hours surprisingly on a weekend even after featuring on Sizzling Woks 3.Looking through the menu, we ordered some of the recommended dishes shown on TV.Cod Fish Claypot

I did imagine the taste to be close to the deep fried fish soup but it taste more like Bak Kut Teh with too much pepper added in the soup. If that was the case, I rather had the original Bak Kut Teh soup!Can't remember what this dish is called. The fried vegetable on top of the dish taste like seaweed which I am in flavour of! But the taste of chicken gave discount to the overall taste... the chicken taste all right from the first bite but the inner layer without the sauce taste yucky somehow. I suppose it wasn't marinated well. The outside taste like satay sauce which was quite a turn on but overall...Chili Crab $28

As usual, the taste of the sauce is alright but the crab meat itself I don't know - judge it yourself if you are there!Kang Kong

This is my first time having intestine while having Zhi Char which usually I have it when I have Kway Chap and it is the fried version. This dish is the beyond Okay dish that is safe to order! Now I know intestine can be fried too and it taste better.

Overall, this is a place for quick fix - close to $80 for 4 of us.

The shopfront says "2 vegetables and 3 meats for $3". So when my aunt was asking me what I want for breakfast, I told her about this stall and asked her to take away the $3 set.

When she came back, she remarked "what $3, it is $4.60!" Then I asked her why. She said that the $3 set is meant for those who eat there and the dishes they give isn't generous.The $4.60 pack looked so overwhelm!

The curry was packed separately.The curry taste like the roti prata curry, very light not very strong which wasn't to my liking for curry rice.

As for the dishes, it was good especially the pork chop which was so crispy.

Will I patronize them again? Not really because the curry wasn't that fantastic after all it is curry rice and the curry must be good to make people come back. Else, they could have name themselves economics rice.
