A good Sunday will be one that you wake up and go to a brunch or buffet! Grand Park City Hall is sure one that have the right vibe on a bright Sunday! The atmosphere is just so nice, I just feel like I am at some holiday at some hotel very lay back. Probably because most of the service staffs are Filipinos and their services are very sincere. It is so comfortable with the natural sunlight shining in, not too cold and not too warm.Their lunch buffet is at $46 and it comes with free flow of soft drinks and hot beverages. For that price, there's cheese, salad, seafood, sushi, soup, some Asian delights and desserts selections - cakes, kuehs and ice cream.The salads choice is quite a spread, there's tuna, egg, potato, chicken and some other salad. I like the Caesar Salad the most as there's this bowl in front whereby you can DIY your own Caesar Salad adding bacon bits, cheese and etc.Potato Leek Soup

The taste is quite similar to cream of mushroom, if you like mushroom soup then this potato leek soup will probably suit you. Although there's leek in it but there's not much leek taste in it, you wouldn't notice it is leek soup. Nice! Sushi here is very decent! It is as though you go to a Japanese Restaurant.Clockwise: Tofu, Pan Fried Fish, Chicken Pasta, Vegetables Curry with Rice and Prawn with Wasabi Sauce.

Every dishes on this plate is good! It is very rare that you get so many great food over at the hot selections for a buffet.The Mee Siam is one that you can die for! It is way to excellent! Usually when I go to buffets whereby they have this live stations for local delights it doesn't taste that nice compare to a hawker stall but this Mee Siam outdo the hawker stall Mee Siam! The gravy is sour-sweet which make it very appetizing.You can find all kind of egg tarts here: Kaya, durian and the Portuguese. And thiere's this Bandung Kueh that is quite creative. The cakes here are okay, if I have any disappointment that will be the cakes.

There's four choices of ice cream to choose from: coffee, chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. Plus you can add different toppings on the ice cream!Overall, the range of food here isn't a wide spread but there's quality in most of the food they serve so it is more of a less quantity and good quality. And it depend on the individual, if you are not into sushi, salad and cheese then you might not find it worth it here.

I was feeling kind of lazy and didn't want to battle the traffic, so I ordered the Domino's Pizza for dinner.

Recently, they have this promotion going on in line with the celebration of Deepavali. There's this 2 large pizza for $38 which kind of suit us and with that it comes with free Breadstix & Twisty Bread.And if you are not please with your pizza...There's a pretty good branding move, and you can risk trying out Domino's Pizza now! When I opened the box, I just felt this happy adrenaline as the pizza look so sunny - so nicely bake! The pizza taste really great especially when it is piping hot. I prefer the half and half over the Hawaiian pizza.Didn't really try the Breadstix as I was so happily indulging the pizza!

What I love about Domino's Pizza is the prompt delivery and the GPS tracking. On top of that it is their fresh and generous ingredients spread - the pineapple is sweet and you get enough meat on the pizza. And the dough of the pizza is just right, not too thick which make you very filling.

If you really want to have a 100% fresh juice, this is the stall! The fruits they use is very fresh, you just know there's quality in it.

No sugar or salt is needed as by nature the juice already taste that sweet and good! You can even chew some bites of the fruit in the juice.

My honeydew juice is really that nice, the nicer honeydew juice I ever had! Normally when I bought honeydew juice, most of the time it tasted very diluted unlike this stall. And in such a big glass, the honeydew juice still taste so sweet!

I am very please with this stall.

This mooncake season, I had tried various type of mooncake - snow skin, traditional, Teo Chew Yam Paste, frozen mango pomelo and nonetheless ice cream moon cake from Swensens which I saved it to the last to enjoy bits and pieces of it.The skin of the mooncake is not very thick which is good, after all it is the ice cream which is the key ingredients here! And at Swensens, they serve quality ice cream. Thus, whatever flavours you choose, it will turn out to be good ultimately! I just can't have enough of the mooncakes, every bite is so heavenly good that I have to fight for my share of mooncake with him. I should have buy more than a box of the ice cream mooncake! It was such a waste that I only bought one box of the ice cream mooncake...just can't get enough of it.

What's more it cost $26.90 for a box of 4!

Shi Wei Tian 食唯天 restaurant is a new establishment, officially started operation on the 9 June 2011.

There's inside and outside seating!The whole environment is very welcoming, it is nostalgic yet modern and sparkling clean. I like the overall feel, simple yet with some details. We went in about 6pm on a weekday and it was very quiet, a very pleasure dinner we had with all the attention to us.

Here they offer Zi Char, ala-cart steamboat and Malaysia style Lok Lok.

The staff is very friendly, she recommended us the Drunken Prawn. Initially we wanted to have steamboat but because it was just the 2 of us and the pricing is base on ala-cart we give it a miss. Instead we tried their Lok Lok.Honey Aloe Vera $2.80

A must have, the drink is very unique – the taste of the honey is very rich. You probably can’t taste it else where.Starter $1Golden Pumpkin $10

Instead of ordering Kang Kong which most of us will order opt for pumpkin! Pumpkin is not so bad tasting at all, in fact it is sweet by nature. This Golden Pumpkin is very nice, the outer layer taste like salted prawn and it is very crispy.Drunken Prawns $15

For a price of $15 it is quite reasonable for this dish! The soup is marvelous, we nearly finish the whole pot! It does not carry a strong herbal favours to it, it is sweet and very refreshing. For $15 you get 6 tiger prawns in it, not bad an offer right?The price for the drunken prawn is reasonable BUT the price for the Lok Lok prawn on the other hand is not at all reasonable. It cost $7 for a piece of prawn with little meat.

The rest of the Lok Lok is price at $1.80 and $1.20 per stick which is okay.

One of the Lok Lok I will recommend is the Cauliflower stick!

Overall, the Lok Lok if you are to compare to the Johor version of course the Johor version is the clear victory but having try the satay Lok Lok at Malacca Celup the Lok Lok at Shi Wei Tian 食唯天 is consider above average. Well, best to have the Lok Lok at Johor as Singapore Lok Lok is quite expensive.

The total bill amount to $55.85, the Lok Lok cost us $19 (without GST).

My verdict:

Best to stick with their Zi Char menu as it is more value for money and they seems to be more specialize in this aspect. If you are coming in group, then try their steamboat which is more worth while. Personally, I will still come back for their Zi Char as they have a lot of choices and every dish on their menu sound very appetizing. And and and you don’t have to sweat at Shi Wei Tian 食唯天 as their inside seating is air-conditional and with the ceiling fans it is very cooling. An idea place to have steamboat isn't it?
