Located just next to Fika, equally popular and we ended out with the outside seats. We didn’t order much as we had our dessert first and we don’t feel like eating the main course.

Chawanmushi – $5, comes with scallop and the taste is superb!

Sashimi – $13 per plate, FRESH!

Dai Dai Roll (left) – $16.00 and Hm.Negitoro (right) – $6. The sushi here is 1 that has quality so rest assure, you won’t get disappointed.

Ebi Mentai Yaki (2pcs) – $18, is a bit steep but I love it!

Millenia Walk Must Visit - Fika Smile Jan 31, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Western Variety | Café | Halal

Many of us seldom really shop or dine at Millenia Walk, but I personally like the atmosphere here be it shop or dine. At least, the crowd at Millenia Walk isn’t that crowded even on weekends unlike Orchard Road which is so so so so…..congested!

If you don’t know how to walk to Millenia Walk from City Hall MRT, walk over to Suntec City then link to Marina Square and from Marina Square walk towards Long John Sliver. That’s an exit to link toward Millenia Walk.

A line of quality restaurants await you at Millenia Walk!

I just tried out Fika that serve Halal Western last weekends. Our intention was to eat Jap food, as we waited too long for a friend that’s how we ended out at Fika. We walked in early evening on a Sat and the air-con seats were all reserved! Anyway, I have wanted to try Fika since donkey years!

Both the Caramel Fudge Cheesecake and the Potato Salad ($8.90) are worth a try! Especially the Caramel Fudge Cheesecake which you can’t find it else where. A wanted Cheesecake, B wanted Chocolate cake and the Caramel Fudge just fit in well. If you are getting a birthday cake, you may consider the cakes here which come in a lot of unique flavour (P.S. I don’t know if they sell a whole cake).

You can top up for drink with any cake order – at $13.90 it comes with a pot of tea meant for 2.

*Alert: The Potato Salad comes in a big portion, good enough to share with 4.

Delicate Cakes - Fruit Paradise Smile Jan 31, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Japanese | Desserts and Cakes

The cakes serve here are so delicate and it just attract you like a magnet!

This cake is real alright, though it look a little fake until when you see it for yourself. The pastry chef is real genius to create such artistic piece of cake that is edible and at the same time DELICIOUS! This will be the next cake I will purchase for my mum’s Birthday – healthy and special.

It is so delicate that they even bother about how the cake is display. Did you spot the heart shape?

If there’s anything to whine about, it will be how I want my Latte to be served. It will be perfect if they can input the latte art to pair it with the delicate cakes.

Chocolate Banana – $6.80

Mango Strawberry – $7.80

$2 Tart Set with Rose Buds Tea

Cafe Latte – $4.20

Categories : Bak Kut Teh

Located alone the famous Jalan Kayu Roti Prata, many of you would have miss out on this treasure! Near this New Soon Huat Bak Kut Teh, there’s this Chinese Temple (opposite the Esso) that is also quite popular – many youngsters are spotted there. So, yes avoid heading here during peak period.

There’s another outlet at Ang Mo Kio mentioned above as well.

This Bak Kut Teh is one of the best and will be in my good book. It is affordable, not very pricey and every dishes here is great! The Bak Kut Teh is serve with Golden Mushroom and the soup is not the peppery kind, it is more towards the herbal kind. The meat is very tender and not overly cook, it is easy to chew. Same goes to the Ginger Sesame Chicken. I don’t know how they master it, both pork and chicken are not tough to chew and is cook to perfection.

The side dishes and the Honey Lemon Jelly up hold to the standard throughout, we walked out feeling contented. A place that you will keep coming when you crave for Bak Kut Teh.

Price:

Bak Kut Teh $11.80

Ginger Sesame Chicken $5.80

Braised Egg $0.60

Fried Dough: $1.00

Salted Vegetable $1.80

Plain Rice $1.00

Wet Tissue $0.40

Total for 2 pax: $26.40
