I was eager to try out the standard of Paradise Inn in Greenwich Village, a less frequent mini shopping plaza...
FOOD
Crisp-fried Teochew Prawn Roll - $8.90
The appealing picture on the menu caught my attention, and decided to give it a try. It was pipping hot and really crispy. The ingredients inside the prawn roll are well marinated and taste so great.
Steamed Chicken with Sand Ginger - $10.90
This steamed chicken tastes not too bad, but its gravy lacked some sort of fragrance as compared to the one in Soup restaurant. The chicken meat is quite tender, seasonings and garnishing are too little for to make whole dish smells nice.
Hot plate Tofu with Preserved 'Cai Xin' and minced Pork - $10.90
Hotplate tofu - my favourite dish for the day! It's crispy on the outside, but hot and soft on the inside. The tofu is served on a hot plate with a layer of egg at the bottom, and is topped with 'cai xin' and minced pork sauce. The tofu is really soft and smooth, but the minced pork sauce is far too salty. Perhaps it'd be better if it goes with some white rice.
SERVICEThe service is quite good as the service staffs are quite friendly and approachable. They are also fast in serving dishes and clearing tables.
LOCATIONIt's not quite accessible unless you live nearby as there are only one or two public transport near the shopping plaza.
