Dinner @ Paradise  Smile Sep 21, 2013

I was eager to try out the standard of Paradise Inn in Greenwich Village, a less frequent mini shopping plaza...

FOOD
Crisp-fried Teochew Prawn Roll - $8.90

Crisp-fried Teochew Prawn Roll - $8.90

The appealing picture on the menu caught my attention, and decided to give it a try. It was pipping hot and really crispy. The ingredients inside the prawn roll are well marinated and taste so great.
Steamed Chicken with Sand Ginger - $10.90

Steamed Chicken with Sand Ginger - $10.90

This steamed chicken tastes not too bad, but its gravy lacked some sort of fragrance as compared to the one in Soup restaurant. The chicken meat is quite tender, seasonings and garnishing are too little for to make whole dish smells nice.
Hot plate Tofu with Preserved 'Cai Xin' and minced Pork - $10.90

Hot plate Tofu with Preserved 'Cai Xin' and minced Pork - $10.90

Hotplate tofu - my favourite dish for the day! It's crispy on the outside, but hot and soft on the inside. The tofu is served on a hot plate with a layer of egg at the bottom, and is topped with 'cai xin' and minced pork sauce. The tofu is really soft and smooth, but the minced pork sauce is far too salty. Perhaps it'd be better if it goes with some white rice.

SERVICE
The service is quite good as the service staffs are quite friendly and approachable. They are also fast in serving dishes and clearing tables.

LOCATION
It's not quite accessible unless you live nearby as there are only one or two public transport near the shopping plaza.

Green Tea Frap! Smile Sep 21, 2013

I happened to drop by Starbucks during lunch time and decided to try out the green tea frappuccino.....

Green Tea Frappuccino Ice Blended

I particularly like the uplifting taste of the finely-powdered green tea, which makes it so refreshing when it's blended together with the ice. This drink taste rather sweet, only ideal for someone who has a sweet tooth though. You can also choose to topped the drink off with whipped cream at no extra charge. smilesmile

Ice cream treat Smile Sep 21, 2013

Categories : Ice Cream and Gelato

After strolling in Gardens by the Bay for the whole afternoon under the hot and humid weather, I finally get to rest on a bench just right infront of Seventh Heaven. I decided to try out their ice-cream to cool myself down under the unbearable warm weather.

Cookies and Cream Flavour

The cookies and cream flavor taste normal just like anywhere else. But the commendable factor is that they have abundance of cookies in it, which added some touch of crunchiness to the plain vanilla ice-cream. A great company under the scorching sun as you stroll around the garden!

Master of Soup!  Smile Sep 21, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Food Court | Chinese Soup

Opting for a light lunch, I was eager to find out how Lao Huo Tang's soup taste like.

FOOD

Thai Style Crispy Beancurd - $4.00

Very nutty and crispy on its covering, but soft and tasty on the inside. The awesome combination comes in when you mix the sweet and sour Thai Chilli sauce together with the crispy beancurd. It's really good!

Lotus Root Pork Ribs Soup -$4.50

The soup tastes rather good, with the strong taste of the lotus roots and pork. The lotus roots has some sort of crunchiness in it, and the pork was not too hard to bite on.

SERVICE
Service was brisk, and the staff was quite friendly as well.

Tea break Smile Sep 19, 2013

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Kids-Friendly

My friend and I went for a short tea break after shopping at Bugis for the entire morning. Looking at the menu, we decided to try out their french toast which looks quite good.

FOOD

French Toast

It's quite crispy on the outside, and quite soft on the inside. And with the combination of the sweet-smelling maple syrup and melting butter, it really taste so awesome!

PRICE

The price of their food items is rather affordable to all. Not too expensive. They have a few dim sum for people who would like to have afternoon tea!
