朋友在Plaza Singapura 附近工作,相約午飯時間一聚,聽說紅大哥水門雞飯在這商場開了分店,我們便相約過來一試。我和姐姐先到,選了在角落比較清靜的位置,先用手機下單點菜,時間剛剛好,朋友和食物差不多同時抵達,除了這裏著名的嫩滑可口的雞飯,

 
我們還點了木瓜沙律(大家都大讚好吃,不過對我來說有點太辣)、

 
馬拉盞炒通菜和芥蘭,

 

 
還有香脆味美的菜脯炒蛋,

 
我還要了一杯醒胃的冰凍青檸汁,

 
一面和友人暢快聊天,一面欣賞着美食,不亦樂乎!

週末的早上,晨早起來,到市中心的大排檔,襯人潮湧過來之前,我們一行四人選了一張靠邊的枱坐下,一面欣賞河畔的美景,一面享受陣陣的涼風,因為朋友是這兒的熟客,在我們坐下的同時,老闆已經把爐子和盛滿開水的生鐵茶壺捧過來,這個熟手的朋友自攜茶葉(甘甜的鳳凰單重),在大家面前表演製作潮州茶的手藝,
示範製作潮州茶——用爐子熱着盛怒在生鐵茶壺的開水,先略略沖洗茶具,再把放上茶葉的有蓋杯子加上開水,再給每人盛上一小杯的茶,幾輪過去,茶味由淡變濃,光是喝茶,已經是一種享受!

喝幾杯熱騰騰的潮州茶清清腸胃,再來潮州凍魚,

 
生滾腰潤,

 
帶着濃烈胡椒味的醒胃的肉骨茶,

 
用砂煲盛上的上湯茼蒿和菜心既幼且嫩,

 
比較平日的香口食物和炒飯麵等帶來的油膩感覺,這頓早飯真的給人帶來身心大滿足😋

經過店舖被這個特殊的名字吸引——Wawa (哇哇),主打菜式是啦啦米粉,

 
再走到店舖門前看看,發現一張名為「四大天王」的食物海報,好奇心的驅使下,我們一行三人決定要一嚐什麼是啦啦粉,什麼是哇哇醬。

 

因為不吃辣,我們選擇一碗招牌正宗米酒啦啦米粉、一碗微辣米酒啦啦粉絲

 

 
和一份啦啦蒜蓉奶油醬,

 
原來「啦啦」,即是主要配料,就是新鮮在水族箱養着的蜆,用米酒煮的湯十分味美,配粉絲或米粉尤其合適,用啦啦蒜蓉奶油醬炒出來的蜆就更加惹味,一杯冰凍的青檸汁可以說是絕配。

 
餐廳地方寬敞,座位清潔舒適,價錢也算便宜,一面吃著鮮美的食物,一面看着水族箱裏養着的蜆,又或落地窗外來往的遊人,真的十分寫意。

PGFN since 1982 has been a popular stall for Mee Pork 肉脞麵 aka Bak Chor Mee aka Minced Pork noodles in Singapore with branches at various food centres in public housing estates.

 
The dish is of Chaoshan origin and commonly served tossed in a sauce with fish balls etc on top and a cup of soup on the side. There are different varieties of noodles, varying on thickness and width to be chosen. There are also 3 sizes ranging from $3.5 to 5.5 depending on how hungry you are. Lard and dried shallot are important ingredients in the dish.
