Waiting for Flight Back Home OK Jun 06, 2014

Categories : Singaporean

It was 1.5 hours before my flight and I haven't eaten my breakfast. Therefore, I decided to eat at Food Gallery.
Nothing really special

Nothing really special

Nasi Lemak - $6.20. In one plate, there were fried chicken wings, a slice of thin omelette, ikan bilis, ground peanut and of course sambal belachan. The rice was quite fragrant and tasty, but sadly the chicken was not served warm. It was more like a last night's leftover chicken. Also, for such price, I felt it was a bit pricey.

My friends and I were in the mood for Thai food. So we decided to eat at ThaiExpress after seeing it right away. The place is cozy, suitable for family dinner or gathering with friends.

Thai Iced Tea - $4.90. I've been ordering Thai iced tea several times in several restaurants, and they all taste nice. But not this time, in ThaiExpress! I don't know why but it tasted very weird, like they put a kind of spice inside. Won't order this anymore.

Phat Thai Talay - $12.90. I thought it's supposed to be written as 'pad Thai'? But anyway, pad Thai is Thai rice vermicelli with beansprouts, squid, shrimp, fish slices, egg, chives, dried chili, lime, and ground peanuts. The taste was very authentic. Sweet, sour, and savory flavors blended nicely together in this dish.

Khao Gai Ob Nam Pheung - $10.90. Rice with honey chicken. The rice was very little (I finished the rice even before the chicken), but fortunately the chicken was generous. The honey sauce was sweet, but not overwhelming.

Overall, I was satisfied with my meal. All food was delicious. However, as a restaurant that charges for 10% service charge, I feel like the service given was not worth the tax paid. The service wasn't great. One of the staff just put the utensils in a rather rude way. She dropped the tissue down from the table yet she didn't say anything and let me pick it up by myself. Should improve more on customer service.

So-So Meal OK May 27, 2014

Categories : Italian | Pasta | Halal

After swimming, my friends and I felt really hungry. We headed to Junction 8 to have dinner. We chose to dine in Pastamania.

Dory Baked Rice - $8.90. Baked rice with poached dory in creamy tomato herb and mozzarella sauce. The combination between tomato sauce and creamy mozzarella was not that bad. This dish was fulfilling, however, some of the rice grain was still undercooked.

Cheesy Pasta OK May 27, 2014

Hot Milo - $4.10. It was very shocking that they didn't even stir it, so the Milo powder didn't dissolve at all. They must be joking huffy.

Cheesy Crumble Chicken Ham - $7.90. Penne in homemade cheese sauce with chicken ham and cheese crumble. The sauce was cheesy, but not made me 'jelat'. Recommended!

Overall, I my dinner that day was quite enjoyable. The only thing that kinda ruined it was the Milo...

Outdoor Starbucks OK May 26, 2014
Categories : American | Coffee

This Starbucks is located just in front of Cineleisure main entrance. It is an outdoor cafe, so it is a good place to have a refreshing drink in a sunny day.

Mocha Frappuccino (Tall) - $6. It is a mocha-blended drink. The mocha flavor was excessively bitter for my liking. I had to add in several packets of sugar before it tasted just right.

Overall, I was not really satisfied with my drink, but I did enjoy the atmosphere here. A nice place to meet up with friends before going around in Orchard.
