My mom first taste of Carrot cake Smile Apr 16, 2014
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Hawker Centre

Since People park complex is near my place of residence and my mom who always watch Asia food Channel really like to try the carrot cake from Singapore.

1080 Fried Oyster even have an award of excellence for their fried oyster cake.

My mom order of carrot cake super soft and quite delicious when cook as omelette. They really melt in your mouth.  Just like to know 1 thing why is this dish call carrot cake when there is not a single carrot in it. Shouldn't it be called radish cake as what we call it in the Philippines?

Must Tried Hawker food Smile Apr 09, 2014
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Hawker Centre

My little brother and I loves Roast Duck that we have to tried it at Hawker stall. Make 2 order for this

They even give free soup but a little blant. Just hope Singaporean does not splash too many chili in their food just to have that added taste.  Better to have the food give out their original taste

Below the store front with plenty of Roast duck

Recommended Dish(es):  Roast Duck w/ rice

Categories : Japanese | Food Court | Ramen

After picking my mom and brother from the airport and leaving their luggage, I decided to go to marina bay and have some lunch before making any sightseeing  in the vicinity of Marina Bay Sand

My brother love Seafood so I order him a crayfish ramen, the soup is so rich and the egg just righ

My mom order the teriyaki set meal complete with rice, miso soup and pickle ginger.  The pickle ginger here is much darker as we seen in the Philippines whic is mostly pink in color

My order of Beef Ramen. Beef is super tender and soup is also rich and delicious; which is just perfect for me. The serving are big

The table setting is really beautiful and clean.

Recommended Dish(es):  Crayfish ramen

Breakfast before a long walk Smile Apr 06, 2014

Categories : American | Fast Food | Ice Cream and Gelato | Burgers and Sandwiches | Kids-Friendly

Since arriving in Singapore my usual breakfast has been McDonald and the Big breakfast can last me till dinner. Since my mom and brother is on vacation  here we have our breakfast before proceeding to Sentosa.

My brother Litchi choco frapp since this is not available in the Philippines he has to try it. As it does have a bit taste of the lychee in it. My mom orange mouse which is not bad

In the Philippines we usually have ketchup with our egg and fries, but here in Singapore they much prefer chili. Might not get use to dipping it in chili

Spacious area to do your office work while waiting for them to open

Caramel Machiatto. Who will not smile with this hard work made by the server at McCafe

This is my usual breakfast in Singapore; which I hardly eat in the Philippines since no one is cooking for me here

Supplementary Information:
This is the first time that in Singapore that there is a refill for regular coffee and tea

Recommended Dish(es):  Litchi Choco Frapp and orange mouse

Comparing Tim Ho Wan Dimsum Smile Apr 06, 2014
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Restaurant | Dim Sum | Noodles | Kids-Friendly

Been busy at work since I arrive in Singapore and just when my mom and brother plan to visit me so we decided to try Tim Ho Wan as my work leave. My family are lover of Dimsum in the Philippines so we order items that are not available there. My brother who never like salted egg got to finish his congee without getting the salted egg out. The Tonic Medlar and osthamus cake is available at 5 star restaurant but the color is not that dark because it's just plain osthamus cake.  The bake BBQ bun is the best the bun is thin which is unlike in the philippines which is mostly thick and steam. It's really melt in your mouth.  For tourist who like to taste Tim Ho Wan better go there when it's not lunch or dinner break or you will really have to wait in line.
