Everyone has definitely tried McDonald's before. I like the fact that McDonald's is not simply just worldwide but consistent with their standard, quality and taste of food.

I had a Fillet O Fish burger upsized set for lunch, changed my drink to green tea. I like the distinct taste of their fish burger that I can't find elsewhere.

Not to overindulge in McDonald's though.

Chewy Junior Smile Jun 29, 2011

I remember that the last time I ate Chewy Junior donuts was a long time ago, it really has been a while.

The donuts here are unique, they are different from the usual ring donuts. They are circular in shape and filled with different flavors of rich custard inside. The frosting on top varies from apple sauce, oreo cookies and cheese with jam.

I got the tiramisu though. Funny how the thick layer of tiramisu powder made me choked a little. The chewy dough and sweet custard complement each other well. Pity I don't have a Chewy Jr outlet near my place.

I'm kind of a snacker, I snack pretty much a lot. As I walked past Bengawan Solo, I couldn't help but to get myself a piece of kueh salat.

This kueh is a favorite choice of mine. I like glutinous rice, be it sweet or savory. I enjoy the pandan paste too; it serves as a really satisfying dessert. I do know about the amount of coconut milk used to make these though so definitely not wise to overindulge.

Pardi's Point. OK Jun 29, 2011

First time trying out this restaurant. It's really huge and spacious but sadly, it was rather empty too, but now I know why.

I had the Grilled Salmon since I didn't want to exceed my weekly red meat consumption that evening. I figured restaurants can't go wrong with salmon because it's one of the easiest western dish to cook.

Apparently, I was proved wrong. The salmon came served in a pale orange color, soggy and reeked fishy. I hope that they do not use frozen salmon meat. The weird-tasting sauce made it worse. In fact, the insides were semi-raw but I didn't bother to request for a change due to the inattentive staffs.

The jacket potato and broccoli were just alright.

Lotong. Smile Jun 29, 2011

I walked around aimlessly this food court and finally settled for the Lotong, takeaway. This Lotong looks and tastes different from common Muslim stalls.

Basically, it contained a full-boiled egg, bean curd, rice cubes and loads of crunchy cabbages. The highlight of the dish is really the gravy. It's fragrant, not too oily and keeps you wanting for more.
