Chicken Cutlet

Chicken Cutlet

I was really happy when the meal was served. I did not expect the portion to be so big! Especially the chicken cutlet which was thick and big. smile There were three side dishes: boiled vegetables, fries and tasty rice. Besides that, the soup of the day was also part of the meal, although it was not very nice. The chicken cutlet was the best part of the entire meal. It was really well cooked. Hot, crisp and juicy! YUM. really loved it! The fries was not as golden as those in Mcdonalds. They serve the thicker type which is less crispy. The sauce over the chicken was good! Added extra flavour to the crispy chicken. bowl

Spending per head: Approximately $4.50(Lunch)

French Toast for Breakfast Smile Sep 17, 2011

French Toast

French Toast

Long John Silver's breakfast sets are quite popular among my friends. I had yet to try the sets until that day when I felt like eating a special breakfast! Did not want something too heavy with fillings (with ham, egg, etc.), so I opted for the french toast set, which came with a milo (at an extra charge). The french toast was sprinkled with cinnamon at the top which made it very tasty. The bread was not too soggy and it was at the right crisp! The toast was thick and was well cooked, no burnt parts. I enjoyed the breakfast set and would come back for more in future! smile

A huge ball of ice cream Smile Aug 20, 2011

Categories : Ice Cream and Gelato

I first read about Cold stone creamery in the 8days magazine and have been yearning to visit it because I wanted to see their cool way of serving ice cream. I finally made a visit to the cafe that day with a few of my good friends. The cafe was not crowded and there was ample space to eat in. I ordered their signature special at $5.50 and topped up a dollar for the waffle at the bottom. The ball of ice cream was huge= satisfying! I chose strawberry cheesecake and I saw the whole process by which my ice cream was made. The chunk of ice cream was chopped up and whole strawberries and raspberries were put into the middle before the server began to start chopping again. In the end she rolled everything up into a ball before throwing the ball into the air and it landed straight into my cup! smile A very fascinating performance. I love the ice cream, it was really flavorful with the combination of cheesecake flavour and natural sour flavour from the berries. I will visit the creamery again! smile

I love ikea cafe's chicken wings Smile Aug 20, 2011

Ikea cafe serves really awesome chicken wings. Although they are quite expensive, it is a great treat once in a while for my tummy. They are well roasted and the skin is not too fatty or thick. The wings are well seasoned, not too salty or oily at all. To complement the chicken wings, I ordered fried rice at eighty cents. The rice was normal, not many ingredients inside (mixed vegetable, egg and crabstick).

The service at Ikea Cafe is fast, efficient and hygienic. I love their system of ordering where you only pay at the end- easy and clean! smile

Hotpot fish soup Smile Aug 10, 2011

Categories : Singaporean | Food Court | Chinese Soup | Kids-Friendly

My family and I often order this hotpot fish soup as one of the dishes we have for dinner at Kopitiam. There is a combination of fried fish and sliced fish in the soup, together with vegetables, tofu and seaweed. The soup is very tasty, not too fishy or salty. The fish, both fried and sliced are fresh. The sliced ones had a bouncy texture and the fried ones were still intact even when soaked in the soup. This stall serves other types of fish dishes too, like hotplate mackerel.
