Sugar Roll Smile Mar 30, 2014

Categories : Bakery

It since like this whole Tampines street 43 area, this is the only bakery shop I can find around here.  So I suppose this may be the reason for its good business.  Moreover, the service here is also friendly and cheerful too.

The shop is quite big and many choices available here which is another main reason people like to come here to choose among the wide range of bread and cakes here.

I have bought the sugar rolls back to have it for my tea break.  Priced at $2.00 is simply cheap and the portion is generous too.  The texture of the bread is moist, soft and the outer part is fragrant and not too bitter which due to over baked.  Topped with lots of coarse plain sugar that added that extra crunchiness when you eat it.  Yummy!

My friend has invited me to this fine cuisine restaurant to have a feast here.  For the price of $55 per set meal, this is really a very generous gesture from her.  Really glad that i have came here as the food is really nice, service here is very fast and friendly, restaurant looks very beautiful with spacious layout and nice cosy environment.

I had their pumpkin soup, which is thick and creamy with the natural pumpkin sweetness in it.  The added pumpkin seeds also added that extra crunch to this soup when you drink it.

The pan-seared margaret duck breast is very tender and juicy.  Every pieces of it have the mild orange fragrant to it, that is refreshing and yummy.

Oven baked ocean Trout with young vegetable is really a huge plate of healthy food that is very filling and delicious.  Baked ocean trout is soft and fresh, with the added good mixed of vegetable to go along with it, is a must have for the healthy group.

Osia Set Lunch Smile Mar 30, 2014

This 3 course set lunch was really expensive but after I have tasted it, I feel it worth the price and really don't mind to spend this much again for a special occasion in future here as the food served here are with quality, service is very polite and warm, and also with this really nice deco restaurant with posh furnishings.

For the price of $45 per 3 course set meal, these 3 items are what I have chosen.  Carrot orange ginger soup as a very special mixture of orange juice, carrots and ginger all mixed together to form this sweet, yet little spicy, and slightly sour taste.  Very special but yet deliciuos!

Pork cheek, the main course, looks beautiful and taste great!  The braised pork belly taste like the 'bak kwa' fragrant and the mashed potato is smooth and buttery flavour.  Sweet dark sauce blend ini really well in this dish.

As for the dessert, hot chocolate soup with which is the molten chocolate cake, is very moist, and filled with the dark chocolate goodness.  The peppery vanilla ice cream is simple cool and refreshing with that slight spicyness in it, cool!

Garibaldi Smile Mar 30, 2014

Luxury dining experience is this posh restaurant at Purvis street, which was another great recommendation from my good friend. It is not that easy to locate this place and fortunately my friend has drove me here.

Restaurant layout is simple and neat, which is also quite cooling and spacious here as well.  The service here is very friendly and prompt in assisting any request you have from them.  I had their $55 set lunch, which includes these 3 luxury fine cusines.

Hokkaido Scallop with Potato Salad, Avocado Mousse & Avruga Caviar Dressing, was displaced so nicely that I almost don't even dare to eat it as is too beautiful.  Scallop is very thick and fresh, with the fresh firm potato salad to go along with it is really suitable and yummy.

Pappardelle Pasta with Iberico Pork Ragout and Black Truffle looks simple with its presentation but taste great!  Pasta is very chewy and the pork meat is pan fried till very fragrant and the black truffle to go along with it, the taste is simply amazing and flavourful.

Chocolate & Rum Cake with Salted Caramel & Orange Sorbet has another posh kind of feel, which the chocolate cake is really delicious by making use the dark chocolate in the making and is not too sweet and firm as well.  Caramel was also not too much that blend in well with the slight bitter chocolate cake.

Set Dinner Smile Mar 30, 2014

This poshy restaurant was my favourite venue for a romantic dinner with my loves one. This time I have brought my good friend here to celebrate her birthday.

Restaurant is quiet and cosy, and the service here is quite tip-top, as they are super helpful and prompt in service.

Have ordered their 3 courses set dinner, which includes the New Zealand mussel chowder, that the texture is super thick and creamy with generous amount of fresh chewy mussel inside.  Garlic toast is crunchy and fragrant as well.

As for the roast prime rib, the beef meat is thick and juicy, and glad it is not hard to chew at all.  Comes with a very thick slice which really shows how generous this restaurant is to satisfy the customers.

When comes to dessert, I have the Cherries Jubilee, that has generous amount of sweet fresh cherries that has been warmed and topped with fresh cooling vanila ice cream that make it more appearing and flavourful.   $35 per set is really worth the money.
