'Grade A' Coffee + Tea Smile Jul 16, 2012   (Related Review)

Happened to be in Teck Whye area on a weekday and decided to drop by this unique coffee shop for lunch.

The nice coffee aroma triggers my kick and as I reali need my caffeine for the day, I ordered a coffee for myself and an iced tea for my fren. The coffee is indeed great! Smooth, thick and creamy. The coffee aroma lingers in your mouth and makes u wanna drink more even after you swallow your sips of it. Unlike the bitter 'siap' coffee in some other coffee shops. After chatting with the boss, understand that they uses expensive coffee powder which were $20 more expensive than the market rate. $1 a cup coffee is reali a good buy.

The iced teh which is also known as 'teh peng' is fantastic! I stole a sip from my fren and it immediately reminds me of 'silk stocking milk tea'. It's smooth the to extend where u even taste the mild 'siap' taste where iced tea usually have. The sweetness is alright, not overly sweet.

Last but not least, the friendly service staff here reali makes your day. I seldom come across coffee shop staff of these "quality" lolz...

Will be back to try other variety the next time round! smile

I felt so "Sua Su" not having a chance to tried bread from Barcook Bakery since its opening in Singapore for long.

Alexandra is 1 of the latest outlet which opened few months back.

I had a cream cheese raisin bread and this is the BEST which I've ate so far. I love the concept of being able to enjoy warm bread straight from bakery and simply love the moist soft fluffy texture.
Thumb's up! Will definitely be back for more. I'm gonna try their carrot cake on my next trip! Lolz...

Here comes our hearty breakfast set! Moist and fluffy scrambled egg, cherry tomatoes with herbs are fantastic! Even for non tomatoes lover like Tab is full of praises. Drooling!

2nd coffee shop the day, a long wait as special brewing method was used. Reminds me of distillation process during chemistry experiment during school days!

A New Dining Experience Smile Jan 27, 2013

Had a wonderful dining experience at the brand new Lenas last week. In was indeed a totally new experience as it was a totally new concept. Lenas used to serve western delights but now, there are other selections in the new menu. Japanese food from MOF menu as well.

When we were shown to our seats, we were given 2 sets of menus. From main course to drinks and desserts, we took a long time before we decided as we were spoilt for choices. I wanna eat the spicy miso ramen, katsu don, carbonara and many many more....

In the end we decided for hot stone rice. Not the usual ones, but with cheese instead.
my friend had a stir fry beef with cheesy fried rice.

While I had a sliced pork with cheesy fried rice.
What's unique about this dish? Other than being serve on hot stone like Korean style, this dish has lots of other ingredients like sweet corn, carrots, tomatoes, lettuce, cabbages...all the healthy ingredients. Last but not least my favorite pork belly.

While hot, the melted cheese are "pulley" yet messy. Rice on the bottom of the pan are slightly burned and crispy, giving out a super fragrant taste.

We were quite full after finishing the rice but there's definitely room for dessert. I been wanting to try Japanese dessert from MOF since it's establishment years ago but haven got a chance. Finally, today is the day!

we shared a matcha ice cream with red bean sauce, served with glutinous rice balls and jelly. A perfect match between the mild bitter matcha ice cream and sweet red bean sauce. Lovely! We will be back for more...
