These has always been my favourite bread from Delifrance and seems like it's rather difficult to locate a Delifrance cafe these days. There used to be many outlets island wide especially in the heartlanfd area.

I chanced upon an outlet in KK Hospital the other day and decided to try my luck to see if they still sell my favourite bread. To my surprise...yup yup! It still taste so yummy.. juz like years ago but seems like it shrink in size. tongue

Economic Fried Bee Hoon Smile Jul 20, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Singaporean | Chinese | Hawker Centre | Noodles

The Fried Hokkien Mee is only available in the afternoon and the morning stall owner has it's own batch of supporters especially during breakfast time.

Other than congee, there are a variety of noodles dishes to choose from and serve with other fried items like egg, luncheon, chicken wings, fish cake, fish fillet, veggie etc...

I think the trademark here is they add peanuts as 1 of the condiments.Fried bee hoon with chili and peanuts! lolz... It's well fried and every strand of bee hoon is evenly coated with dark soy sauce. Texture wise is good, springy and moist, unlike some fried bee hoon which taste like tasteless rubber bands! lolz...

B-Day Lunch @ Din Tai Fung Smile Jul 20, 2012

Categories : Taiwanese | Dim Sum

Having stayed in festive hotel for a nite, we decided to settle our lunch in Sentosa b4 we leave the place... and to celebrate Aunty Margaret's B-day.

Expensive for a reason...

Cuz it's filled with truffle. Yes, it's unique and every sip of the broth contains essences of truffle. Fresh and sweet! Delightful!!! smilesmilesmile

Chili Crab Xiao Long Bao which is onli available during National Day period.

These sauce are different from the suan ni bai rou sauce from other places. It's thicker and more flavourful! Great as a dipping sauce for fried food as well!

Hi Tea @ Festive Lounge OK Jul 20, 2012
Categories : Bars/Lounges

Was @ Resort World for a nite to enjoy Grasshopper concert 2012 and before it starts, decided to enjoy some coffee and cakes at the lounge of the hotel where we will be staying for the nite.

Here's out chicken tikka sandwich! Delicious! Chicken are well marinated and every bite is juicy. Bread slices are spread with some yoghurt which makes the sandwich even tastier!

I've always been a fan of carrot cake and this is my 1st time eating a 3 layer carrot cake. Not very moist texture, slightly dry, especially the area surrounding the raisins. The cream cheese though doesn't taste "plastic" but it's too thick, especially the top layer.

My all time favourite caffeine~ cappuccino!

As and when there will be promotion for some new drinks. This looks cool and wanted to try initially but I would still prefer something hot.

1 thing I would like to highlight is the lousy service here. Hello, this is a hotel, should throw Singapore's image. The lounge wasn't packed at the time we were there but the staffs on duty were always standing far away from us and chit-chating. Seems like there boss employ them to chit chat instead of work.

Upon settling our bill, total bill inclusive of service charge and gst comes up to $30.01. We paid $30.00 and when we are about to leave, the staff insisted us on paying her $0.01. Hey, come on, Singapore is no longer producing 1 cent and even supermarkets waived off the cents and round up to the nearest "payable" value. We asked the staff politely and says that Singapore is no longer producing 1 cent, how does she want us to pay her? She replied that it's a MUST! Hence, i took up $0.05, passed it to her and walked off as I dun not wish to dampened my concert mood. I should have INSISTED on my change of $0.04 and see how Resort World Sentosa give my my change. lolz...But aniway, they should reflect annd not disgrace Singapore, luckily i'm Singaporean and tourists!!!

Final verdict: Food is acceptable for service is unacceptable for a so called high class place which attracts tourists!

Value For $$$ Fried Kway Teow Smile Jul 20, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Hawker Centre

This fried kway teow stall has been around for more than 2 decades and has won the hearts of many residents staying nearby. To be frank, the owners' skill did improved alot as compared to 20 years ago where he just started out. I've never wanted to try as during 'those days' heard lots of bad reviews. Since these recent years, there were many good reviews from the residents, i decided to give it a try.

Super generous for such a huge packet! Initially when I was being charged $3.00 for a packet, in my heart I was thinking, wat's so special? outside i can buy a packet for only $2.50. When the uncle passed me my order, i was like "Gosh, so heavy'! and by time i opened uo when i reached home, everyone asked me do i need to pay $5 bucks for that packet?? I was like "jaws dropped" lolz...

Tasty with lotts of cockles, reali live up to the name of "chei hiam kway teow". which means fresh cockles fried kway teow! lolz... the texture of the kway teow is springy and glossy, despite being fried and covered for so long (from my way back hm about 20mins)

Will definitely be back to support this stall! smile
