BBQ grilled chicken Smile Jun 21, 2013

Categories : Coffeeshop | Steaks and Grills

I had decided to try char grill bar again at another outlet of theirs. I ordered a different meal today, BBQ grilled chicken and i added 2 sides; namely the California raisin rice and the baked potato. I kind of regret choosing baked potato as i thought the standard is different at different outlet. But it is about the same, the baked potatoes was cold! It really taste bad! However, i really like the California Raisin rice which soft and the raisin actually provide slightly sweetness to rice. It is a dry than usual white rice, but it is not hard to chew on. On top of that, the chicken was awesome, i like the sweet onion on it which improve the taste of it! It costs me $5.80 for the whole plate and the waiting time was less than 5 minutes! I think it is worth for a try!

Ramen @ Bugis plus!  Smile Jun 21, 2013   (Related Review)

I had ordered the special TonKotsu ramen at Ramen Champion for Bario which cost $12.90 (exclusive of GST and service charges). However, if you liked their Facebook page, there will a discount of $2 given to you! smile I like the egg in the most! It is not like those egg that we ordered outside, the outer of the egg was hard, however, the egg yolk was still in liquid form. They are very generous with the bean sprouts they give but i think it was too much for a plate of noodles. The meat was nice, soft and tender, with a small layer of fats on it! smile I will definitely come back again for the food here! smile

stingray Smile Jun 21, 2013

Tried the stingray at old airport road and costs $8. I fell in love with the sambal chili mixed with the soft and well cooked fish. The sweet onions helped in adding taste to the fish. They actually gave me a saucer with some sauce on it, which I don't know what is that but taste sour to me. I didn't really like sour taste of it. sad They are also very generous as compare to other stall as they gave 2 limes instead of the usual 1. We actually take a seat near the store therefore within 10 minutes our food in served on our table.

Ipoh chicken hor fun Smile Jun 21, 2013

Ipoh chicken hor fun was so commonly available everywhere but i think this is one of the best stall i had ever tried. I like the soft and silky hor fun mixed with the savory sauce. On the other hand, i love the chicken meat they cooked, it was soft and tasty and it was boneless which make it less messy while eating. I like the clean environment there and the services they provide, polite and friendly. The hor fun only costs $3.50 however, i think is not filling enough! smile

Homemade soyabean Smile Jun 20, 2013
Categories : Hawker Centre

I had tried the soya bean and tao huay from this store today. I really like their handmade soyabean and tao huay. Both are great. The soft and silky tao huay had a light milky taste and a little sweet, maybe due to the syrup. It tasted very different from some very popular brands currently on going in Singapore. I think this is one of the choice you should go for. It is authentic Singapore Soyabean which is now replaced by those famous soya bean brand, with gelatin added to give the firm jelly-like structure. The soya bean is another 'must-try' too. there is a very thick and strong bean taste yet with very mild sweetness which i guessed many will like. But i think the auntie is a bit fierce. sad
